It's a British crime, the first in a series ( Andrew Hunter)
I like it because it is so easy to get into the story

Zoe Radley | 558 comments I am now reading a particular eye for villainy by ann granger after reading her previous book in the series, it was the third and this one is the fourth, which i usually dont do but these were library books so you have to take what you can get, and I have found another crime author to follow damn and blast libraries ( not really love em to pieces) hehe I just love the vivid descriptions of victorian london with a full range of characters just love it

Haven't read that series, but a long time ago I read her Meredith & Markby series while going through my English village phase.

I read it from West Palm Beach to Hawaii and still didn't finish it!

I enjoyed her first couple of books, but did not really like The Distant Hours. It never quite captured me either.......probably why I haven't yet bothered with The House at Riverton. Let me know how you get on. 8:D

Hi Marian! I saw the movie years ago so I didn`t remember much about it when I started reading but some thing I did remember.
