I want to read this book, as it sounds really interesting and seems to fit my recent interests :) (meaning various types of distopia)

So I'll be coming to this one late (I sound like a broken record!) as I'm in the middle of The Light Between Oceans

I have to finish which I should be doing today and then I'll be free to start this. Looking forward to something a little lighter!

I'm currently reading this book! Love it so far, about halfway through :)

I dont think it is real. it sounds so fictional; I mean the ranking of people etc

I think it is a dystopian version of the US.

I have just finished and I feel annoyed (view spoiler)[ because this is not the end, you have to read the whole series to know who America is going to spend her life with, and the third part is due in May next year, wrrr..., I enjoyed the book, it is a real pageturner, although in parts a simple romance (it lacked some deeper insight in my opinion), but still a highly entertaining read. I'm only really frustrated that I have to read the next part and wait for another to get to some cllimax. I didn't know earlier, maybe I would reconsider reading it now LOL (hide spoiler)]

what about The Prince? I read this name at the end of Elite. Isnt this book part of this series?

As far as I know it is a novella, adding some info to the story but not crucial to read

In series like these if you click on the greyed out link next to the book you will get all the series book listed, like here for The Selection Series http://www.goodreads.com/series/57517...

The Prince (The Selection, #0.5)
The Selection (The Selection, #1)
The Elite (The Selection, #2)
The Guard (The Selection, #2.5)
The One (The Selection, #3)

This gives you the order to read .... kind of, because #0.5 books obviously always come out after #1 and would never makes sense without reading the original first.
Any #.5 books are always a novella, adding some info to the story but not crucial to read.

Just finished The Selection, and I really like it!!! And I don't know if I am Team Maxon or Team Aspen. I will see who I like better in The Elite!

I've read a third of the book today. America just met Prince Maxon and I have to say I like him already.

I'm team Maxon so far :), I have to read The Elite to check on him though LOL

I am confused right now. when I read Selection I liked Maxon without any doubt, but now readin ELite makes me feel that Aspon is her soulmate. If Maxon really loves her then I dont think he should like kriss too

I'm done with the first book. I liked it a lot. I'm a bit fed up of love triangles but I still want to know what will happen to america. For the moment I'm team Maxon!

@Rida: I haven't started Elite, but if America is entitled to love two men, why wouldn't Maxon like 2 women?

Yeah you are right Vanessa, and Selection is quite good as compared to Elite and I got satisfied about Kriss by the end of book but one more person bothers me.. finish the book then I'll discuss it with you otherwise it would be a spoler ;)

So I loved it and went straight onto Elite (and about 50% through).

I know I'm going to be annoyed at the end for having to wait for the third book.

I have now finished Elite ..... why isn't the third book out already, damn it!

That is the reason I was so annoyed after the first one, Lynn LOL. And that's why I'm waiting with reading The Elite later to be closer to the publishing of the last part :)

me too, I havent read any series before so right now to wait is a really bad experience for me

I understand you perfectly well, Rida. I'm currently waiting for eight series to finish (the last books or the next in the series are still due to be released), so another one to wait for is dauting a little LOL. I have a chance to practice my patience though

LOL, I think there is no other option for us except being patient :)
