the frogs were no normal frogs.they were in fact, servants of the witch.. they were given the task of keeping her in the pit till the witch came for her

Seconds,minutes & hours went by and the trio became restless..finally the princess/beggar mooted the idea of playing hide & seek, to which the frogs nodded half-heartedly.

so they played hide and seek in a one metre diameter pit..

thunder bellowed lightning echoed (OK.....well.........flashed actually) and there stood an awesome demigod in the pit with a bronze double edged sword

and Aslan told her...
