I bought Extraordinary Chickens as a gag gift for a friend, when I saw it at Barnes and Nobles I immediately started laughing because it is so funny.

I bought Daniel Silva's The Mark Of The Assassin and The Marching Season earlier this week when I went to the bookstore. Am pleased because now I have all his books =D (except his latest; am waiting for that to come out on mass paperback format)

Today I bought The Club Dumas by Arturo Perez-Reverte and Transgression: A Novel of Love and War by James W. Nichol. I recently finished reading The Shadow of the Wind and Sarah's Key, so I wanted to get books with the same feel.

Really? Those are going on my tbr!

I just received an order from Amazon today that included The Swan Thieves, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Death of a Valentine, and Poems. Then I was in Barnes and Noble and picked up A Reliable Wife. Gee, I am now literally surrounded by books in my bed. Heaven on Earth!

I just bought The Hotel on The Corner of Bitter and Sweet (for my school book group) and Sundays at Tiffany's (sale). I am reading The Women and Sweet Potato Queen's Guide to raising Kids For Fun and Profit and I have a book to pick up at the library!! I need to just read for awhile now!!

Great Haul Fiona, I have buying frenzies as such when twice a year all of the libraries in our county which is about 10 all donate their books which they are no longer carrying as well as other people can donate their books too. They have this big sale which is held in a local college gymnasium and the paperback sell for 50 cents and hardbacks 1.00 to 2.00 dollars US. I usually come home with about 3 bags and that is why I have 3 hugh bookcases 2 boxes and a piled high bedside table. It is all good. Anything to do with books is good. It is my drug of choice.

There'll be more buys this weekend because I'll be going to a discount book warehouse. I can't wait to shop for more! And for cheap lol

I am so excited! I received notification from Laurie R. King, author of the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes series, that I have won a signed, exclusive copy of her short story featuring these characters. It's illustrated and can't be purchased anywhere (yet?). I won it in one of the contests for the countdown towards The God of the Hive release in April.

I just ordered and received from Amazon the first three in the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters--Crocodile on the Sandbank, The Curse of the Pharaohs, and The Mummy Case. I've also purchased Linda Fairstein's latest, Hell Gate and Libba Bray's Going Bovine.

I recently bought The Blind Side by Michael Lewis, Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse to read on my Kindle. I also won The Last Child by John Hart in a Goodreads giveaway.

Just in the past week I bought Portrait of a Lady, the Golden Compass, Figures in Silk, The Children's Book, The Darcy Connection, The Friday Night Knitting Club, What Jane Austen Ate and Charles Dickens Knew, The Handmaid's Tale, and Saplings. I went into the bookstore to buy some flashcards for APUSH and I came out with half of this (at full price, mind you). I really shouldn't be going into bookstores so often.

I went out with my family today and ended up coming home with a bunch of stuff (the following + two manga), lol xD I was surprised to see C.S. Harris's books here on the Sebastian St. Cyr series, I didn't think they were out here yet:
