Mike | 353 comments Anyone who has read Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee . Is it a YA book? The synopsis kind of makes it sound like one.

I want to say yes, but I can't recall Penryn's age.

I looked up and according to Amazon it's for Ages 14 and up, but it didn't really read like a YA book.

I think because it was self published it wasn't clear when it came out.

Sandra | 4736 comments Penryn is 17 and it was a finalist in a YA award & the current kindle is published by Amazon Childrens Publishing (which I didn't know existed).

All my friends that have read it, loved it, and none of them mentioned it as being YA.

Amazon just started getting more heavily into publishing and has started picking up more established authors. The Original book version, which I read, of Angelfall was self published by the author and it wasn't until just under a year ago (if memory serves) that the book was picked up by Amazon. I think the Amazon Children's Publishing division is new. They appear to be expanding.

Sandra | 4736 comments Yes, Susan Ee did a big promotion with SOS when her book first came out. She was very generous with her time and her book ;)
