Did you like this second book in the "Girl with the Dragon Tatoo" series? I read the first one for my bookclub. We all loved it and I was interested if the second book is as good as the first.

Sorry, meant to ask about this book....since this is the second one in the series in question.

Victoria,

Was this as good as everyone says?

Zafon's The Shadow of the Wind is one of my favorite books.

Vanessa

Victoria (vvmarquez) | 64 comments Yes, I liked it a lot, and it's actually a prequel of The Shadow of the Winf, so you would know some of the characters.

The Shadow of the Wind is also one of my favorite books, so with The Angel's game you will learn more about the Sempere family

This is the thrid and final book on the Millenium series, couldn't wait for its English version to be published, so I read the Spanish one. Loved it!

Sarah | 35 comments I LOVED The Witching Hour when I read that years ago.

message 21: by Victoria (new)

Victoria (vvmarquez) | 64 comments I first read it about six years ago and I loved it so much that I went for the trilogy, but now rereading it I didn't find it as interesting as I did before...

The time traveler's wife is a must now with the movie coming up, and it's a great novel.

Victoria (vvmarquez) | 64 comments # 30. Love in the Time of Cholera - Gabriel Garcia Marquez

message 23: by Victoria (new)

Victoria (vvmarquez) | 64 comments #31. Atonement - Ian McEwan

Enjoyable book, as a hopeless romantic I didn´t love the ending, real life is cruel enough as to deny us the pleasure of having books with a happy ending or at least justice being properly delivered

Melissa Andrews (pangirlmom) | 51 comments I agree with your comment about Atonement. The ending was rough for me too. :-)

Victoria (vvmarquez) | 64 comments # 32. The Memory Keeper's Daughter - Kim Edwards

It can be sweet at times, most of the time I was just eagerly waiting for the secret to be revealed. Also, It made me consider the possibility (and difficulties) of having a kid with Down Syndrome.

Victoria (vvmarquez) | 64 comments 37. Temple - Matthew Reilly

Beyond the fact of it being based on a highly unlikely story, the book I got was a Spanish translation, and not a very good one, so that did not help my reading experience.

I took it with me on a trip to have something to read on the plane, all I can say on it is that it fulfilled its purpose to keep me entertained during those travel hours.
