Sandra Bennett | 4 comments Gingerbread Aliens is the first in a planned series of five short chapter books for early independent readers, ESL students and in particular reluctant boys. It has received some great reviews from parents and kids alike that can't wait to see what the mischevious characters will be up to next.

When three brothers get together in the kitchen to cook for the school fete, they inadvertently add together the wrong ingredients and mix in some sibling rivalry, what could possibly go wrong? A hilarious series of events snowball out of their control as they refuse to face the consequences of their mistake.

I am really honoured to be able to announce that the Australian National Eisteddfod has selected Gingerbread Aliens for the children to use in their 2013 Championship Section of Speech and Drama Division for Ten years and under. I look forward to attending the event and presenting awards to the winners in September.

Alien Shenanigans is book 2 in the series and is due for release shortly.

There is trouble afoot in Mr Haggardy’s classroom. An unexplainable explosion in a science experiment wreaks havoc once again and Principal Penwright knows exactly who to blame! Can Brian and his brothers solve the mystery before the snooping Mrs Witherbottom discovers the unbelievable truth behind all the shenanigans?

Brian, David and Simon Bradberrie return in part two of their alien adventure. Mischief and mayhem abounds whenever they are involved. The school is a disaster zone but is it really their fault this time?

These books make great read aloud stories for the classroom or at home at bedtime, but be warned, you may not want to put them down after the kids have gone to sleep! :)
