The Precipice By: Ivan Goncharov
One of my characters reads it, so I thought I'd better read it too. Oddly enough, I didn't know it was a real book until one of my Beta Readers told me it was a good choice based on the characters personality.


Desperation wasn't a favorite of mine either.



Ah, it was required reading when I was in 8th grade. Too sophisticated to understand for that age...I couldn't even finish it, I thought it was a stupid book.
I read it again about 20 years ago, and boy did I GET the significance of it then! ;)

I agree, a reading of this type does not make much sense at such a young age. I already finished the book and I really liked it a lot.

I’ve put it on hold for the moment as the technical stuff got a bit overwhelming. MC was amazing so was the concept so may give it another go in the future..
