Valerie Book Valkyrie | 62 comments Just started Watchmen

This is my first graphic novel. Wanting to branch out from my comfort zone of classic literature, mystery, science, sci-fi, current events, and history I'm giving this a try. Knowing nothing about this style of writing (genre?) I have no opinion yet. First appearance it looks very like a comic book.

Please let me know what your thoughts are regarding graphic novels, thanks so much!

I tried to get into them a time ago but they’re not for me I’m afraid. Not sure why but I think the style didn’t grab me. Good for you for trying something different though. I’ll be interested to see how you get on..

Valerie Book Valkyrie | 62 comments Currently reading Doctor Who: The Shakespeare Notebooks

I'm a longtime fan of the Dr. Who TV series. When I saw this little book at a Dollar Tree store I just had to get it. Not something I would seek out to read but amusing. All about The Doctors occult influence on the writings of Shakepeare written in realtime, kind of fun!
