Me too. They're such well-rounded characters. I feel like I learn something new about each of them with each new book I read.

Holly, Milo is my favorite in that series. He seems like such a grump and the next thing you know, he does something really nice and thoughtful.

Started The Turtle Boy by Kealan Patrick Burke

Shawn, I hope you enjoy the Stand, it's my absolute favourite! I have just finished the Descent of Woman which was (surprisingly since I'm not particularly interested in evolution) a really entertaining read. I'm going to start the Immortal Life of Henrietta Flacks now - and hopefully 'Salem's Lot soon if it ever gets to my library.

Defending Jacob

Finished Prayers for Rain , another good book by Dennis Lehane. I am about to finish the Kenzie & Gennaro series and wonder when will be the next time that I find a thriller series with such relate-able characters and great writing.

Reading It's amazing so far.

Maximum Ride by James Patterson

Finished by Greg F. Gifune. Excellent story about a man that can't decide if what he sees around him is real or if he's going insane. Reminds me of shades of the movie Angel Heart. Five star read.

I finished "The Sirens of Titan" by Kurt Vonnegut and I started Stoner by John Williams. I heard so much about it and I had to see what was all the fuss

Finished Swan Song, I'll have a review up later today I hope. Still reading The Shadow Queen by Bertrice Small. Started Farewell My Lovely by Raymond Chandler (because King is such a fan.) Also hoping to start the audio book of American Gods if I can get my car audible system working. I read it a few years ago and liked it very much.

I saw the movie with Kevin Spacey years ago and loved it, so of course the book will be better. I already want to move to Savannah!

Just finished We Need To Talk About Kevin. Seriously urge anyone who's on the fence about it to read it. A disturbing, compelling, controversial but quite honest read.

Pet Sematary yet again & Slaughter House Five...

It's like my 15th re-read of BLACK HOUSE. I love this book. And Frank Mueller (RIP) does all the voices so amazingly. I can see the characters the way he does them. I love how he makes each one different. Jack, Henry, Dale, Judy Marshall, even Charles Burnside, Tansy Frenau, and the guys from the Thunder 5 (Beezer, Doc, Mouse, Kaiser Bill, am I forgetting one?) and that greasy Wendell Greene! And of course Speedy Parker's "Travelin' Jack!!" bellow. So unmistakable and such a delight to read over and over. And I just love Ty Marshall - in the same way I love Jake from the Dark Tower series. Who else loves this book?

Just finished rereading the Long Walk. It was better the second time! About halfway through The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. It's a really interesting read.

Just finished the stand it was outstanding. Reading cold in July by joe Lansdale and it's excellent so far.
