What was your least favorite part of the book? Or a criticism on something you didn't particularly like about it?

My main criticism with it would have to be the end. I felt like it was a bit too rushed?? Maybe it's just me because I was going through it so fast ahahahaha

Tweedelliedee | 9 comments For me, there were some parts that felt a bit too crammed i guess?? Like, libba bray introduced ALL these characters and all of them seem to have mysterious backstories and powers and whatnot but she only ended up explaining about half of them. I understand it's because she's building up the quadrilogy(??) but as a reader, it still felt a bit forced at times.

But then again that may have just been me.

Also, there were some descriptive parts that felt too draggy? Dont get me wrong, i love libba bray's style of writing, but there would be times where she'd be describing a house, or a room, and it would literally take an entire page (or half of one). And as much as it builds up ambiance and tone, at some point it gets to be too much. I mean, an author can only wax poetic about a single room for so long before the reader starts to get bored with it.

Tat's pretty much all i can critique about the writing style i guess.....

Madeleine (crazyrandomhappenstance) | 1 comments A little rushed, Jericho as a love interest comes right the fuck out of no where. And I liked Sam. Where did he go? He literally falls off of the book. Mabel doesn't have much of an arc, neither does Theta... actually a lot of characters don't really learn anything by the end. So the experience didn't really resonate with me, you know?

Michelle (to-whatever-end) I hated the way the book ended. I mean, it wasn't out of character for her to crave attention; but you think after all she'd been through she would've made a more rational decision.
