I read a book awhile back that I could have sworn was written by Sherrilyn Kenyon, don't know why but her name pops out to me, turns out I'm wrong 'cause I can't find it under her name.
It's a historical paranormal romance. It's a group of men who get cursed by this witch/sorceress, they turn into animals. They each have to find this amulet with the engraving of their animal and destroy it if they want to break their curse. Some of them are cursed to turn only at night, some during the day.
Well the one book I read the man turns into a falcon. I don't remember how he and the heroine meet but they do marry and she becomes pregnant. But before they find out she is pregnant, the man stops sleeping with her, fearing that if he gets her with child the baby will come out 'wrong', and then she will know his secret.
I can't remember much about what goes on in the story there is another conflict happening besides the baby. I remember one line from the book and that's it...it's when she's describing the feeling of the baby moving.
She says, "It feels like the tiny flutter of wings."
He of course almost has a heart attack...and that's all I remember!
I would really like to read this again, can anybody help me?
