This week, let's talk about other things that the members enjoy doing besides reading. Is there some unique talent you have that you'd like to share with us?

Hehe! Reading is my all time favorite hobby, but I can't read all the time. Sometimes I need to do something that works a different part of my brain. I have loved art since I was a little girl. I hadn't been doing much visual art, but I started doing it again not too long ago. I enjoy drawing and sketching and I started watercoloring again. I am going to work on some acrylics once I've done a few more watercolors.

I enjoy baking more than cooking, but I do like to cook. I enjoy working out, gardening, listening to music, writing. I love hanging out on Pinterest and compiling pins of my casts for the books I read. Since I've had some health problems, I haven't been as physically adept, so haven't been able to do much gardening lately. I love watching movies and television as well.

I am learning Russian. It's fun.

Rebecca Huston (telynor) | 28 comments Pinterest is evil. It can suck away an hour like that! (snaps fingers) And of course I forgot to mention writing and music. I am constantly amazed by how similar folks are who read -- everyone seems to have some traits in common, especially music of some kind.

Goge (BARRONS) le Moning Maniac, | 288 comments 1. I love singing. I'm Mezzo soprano but prefer singing alto. I love singing. It needed to be reiterated.
2. I love football. Want to play it all the time.
3. Biking is what I've been doing lately, a lovable hobby.
4. I absolutely love walking because I'm very curious and love to find new things and places around where I live and anywhere. I have special places I like to walk to at night because I crave solitude.
5. I used to act (theatre) a lot because I love it a lot. Nowhere to act nowadays. The thought cam bring tears to my eyes. Acting thrills. That's why I love football because it brings similar thrills, shots of adrenaline.
6. I love my nieces and babysitting them. I love my nephew too but he's breast fed and never leaves my sister's side so I rarely babysit him.
7. Writing is better than talking maybe? If I get really invested I get butterflies in my belly.
8. I really enjoy exploring recipes and love cooking them for my loved ones.

I like to go walking too, Goge. I love being outdoors except when it's really hot.

Goge (BARRONS) le Moning Maniac, | 288 comments I love being outdoors too! It makes me feel.. Like a butterfly? I loathe being caged in. It makes me feel.. Disgusting? This suffocating feeling. I slater sunblock on like I'm going to the beach.

Awilk -never sleeps- (awilk) | 98 comments Music. My house is full of instruments and the number of CD's we own is embarrassing. My daughter is also a very talented singer. You can tell the mood we are in by what we are listening to.
I also love to cook which is probably a good thing as I am a chef by trade.
I also knit, do cross stitch and spend time in the garden.

My life revolves around the family so I do what they want. I have enjoyed scrapbooking in the past. Hope to do it again. I have tons of pics. I would love to take a photography class. Also love to sketch pictures and once entertained the idea of being an artist. Haha. Love to play some computer games on occasion. Have also been sucked into Pinterest. Love music and have been known to sing at the top of my lungs while doing housework. Love movies and we sometimes have family movie night. I do watch a few shows on TV like NCIS, Psych, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and a few others.

I started making greeting cards a few years ago. It's a huge addiction now. So much fun!

What kinds of crafts do you make?

I am even one of those people that likes to listen to the commentary about how they made the movie or the show.

Sydney Wallace | 27 comments I like writing, listening to music, watching movies, watching WAY too much television...and cooking.

message 25: by Pallavi (new)

Pallavi (threequartersthedevil) | 78 comments Does sleeping count? Cause if am not with books (study or other ones) or television, am with my pillow.
I'd make Rip Van Winkle look like an amateur. Seriously!
I'm sad, I sleep. I'm bored, I sleep. I'm happy, I sleep contently
Been having severe insomnia for the past few weeks and it's like am suffocating. :|

I enjoy hair-styling too. Those youtube tutorials make them so easy. I always bore my mother, making her sit while I keep messing with her hair. It's fun.

Darcy Lankford (dlankford) Completely addicted to Pinterest... Other than that I attend my nephews baseball games, spend most of my summer at the lake on our jet skis, prepare my daughter for cheerleading in the fall, and watch a lot of college baseball, softball, and football. In two weeks we're going to Pensacola, so I'm spending a lot of time getting things ready for our 10 hour drive and week long stay.

Me too! When I was small my sister would take me onto the balcony and teach me about stars. I have very fond memories of star gazing. I also could spend days doing nothing and just staring at the clouds. I'm obsessed with the moon. The earliest recognition of my addiction started when I saw the crescent moon still up during an elementary school morning recess. I have gave up hours of sleep just to stare at the moon. I also love staring at the darkness/pitch black of night and the waters of a lake. Hmmm, my hobby = staring at nature.

I'm not fond of heat but it does make it nicer for going to the pool. I'm trying to get to the pool more to work out. I just met a lady there today who says she lost 70lbs in the last 6 months. She goes to the pool everyday now. She had some severe health problems and decided she had to do something. I'm inspired!

Sharmila | 67 comments Hummmm... Sleeping counts!? Love that.

But I really like to:

Finding great restaurants. I like to just pick a area and explore and look for holes in the walls. In NY theres lots to do on your searches. They tend to be the best.

Pinterest- can I say anymore!

Music music and more music. I listen to every thing! . Love hearing and finding new tunes. Love the blast the house and head phones 24 hours of the day.

I agree that dives are usually the best restaurants, Sharmila. I'm not very adventurous about picking restaurants, but I love watching the Food Network and the Cooking Channel, and they recommend a lot of local joints that I plan to check out.

Alisa I have an "inner pilgrim". I love working in my vegetable garden, canning, making jams etc. I got two chickens a few years back for the eggs & loved them. I've joined a few online info groups & have learned about all kinds of cool breeds. I now have 14 chickens. I even have one that lays blue eggs. And if you

message 37: by Alisa (new)

Alisa Oops....I was going to say if you have any doubt as to what a dork I am, I also love couponing. I get a total thrill from getting stuff for free or for a few cents. I'm not like the TV show people though. I don't keep a hundred tubes of toothpaste in my garage but I am able to donate a lot of stuff to charity.

message 38: by Brad Jae (new)

Brad Jae | 14 comments When I'm not enjoying my most favorite hobby which is reading*.I tutor people in French, Mandarin, and Japanese. Listening to music...I listen to music about 9 hours a day; I find myself repeating some songs over about 5 times "Imagination" by Latoya Jackson. From time to time I practice calligraphy. oh yeah I love to Run and Salsa dance about twice a week.

I would love to live a semi-self-sufficient lifestyle, Alisa. I'm not too fond of the idea of slaughtering my own lifestock, but I love the idea of growing my own food and raising livestock.

I applaud your patience with couponing!

Yes, they have amazing costumes and immaculate settings! they make you wanna jump in and become apart of the show. which one do you like??

Danielle (~Dani~) (danibear579) | 11 comments I'm glad to see a lot of stargazing going on. I always thought people just don't "look up" enough anymore with the fast paced, tech-world going on. I also notice when I drag my telescope out, my neighbors look at me suspiciously like I'm gonna be peepin' -as if they're more interesting than the cool stuff going on above us! Lol. Stargazing, drawing, reading...all have something in common for me- endless possibilities!
