Nora Roberts - River's End
River's End by Nora Roberts

Olivia's parents were among Hollywood's golden couples...until the night a monster came and took her mother away forever. A monster with the face of her father...

Sheltered from the truth, an older Olivia only dimly recalls her night of terror - but her recurring nightmares make her realize she must piece together the real story. Assisted by Noah Brady, the son of the officer who found her cowering in her closet so many years before, she may have her chance. Noah wants to reconstruct the night that has become an infamous part of Hollywood's history. He also wants to help Olivia and heal the longing in her lonely heart. But once the door to her past is opened, there's no telling what's waiting on the other side. For somewhere, not far away, the monster walks again...

Teryl I enjoyed this one, except the hero's name because it is the same as one of my sons, so that is weird to me, lol She really got me with who the killer was though. I love when that happens.

Melissa (mkloempken) I liked this one. I agree that she kept the killer's identity hidden very well until the end. Total fake out for me at the end when Sam meets Olivia in the woods with the gun.

Emily (imabrooks2) | 81 comments I really liked this one but I actually guessed the killer. I wasn't 100% sure so it stayed interesting but I loved the story.

Amie (alm0824) | 112 comments I finished this one today and really enjoyed it. She had me guessing the whole way. I kept thinking ok where are we going with this. I couldn't put this book down.

I enjoyed this story, too, and kept going back and forth about who did it but eventually figured out that Sam was the only one who could have done it if you didn't believe her father was the killer.

message 7: by Elizen (new)

Elizen (mirificallyzen) This is my first book of Nora. I never really guessed the real killer and sticked with Sam. I love the story and the chemistry between Olivia and Noah. One of my favorites.

message 8: by willaful (new)

willaful (Sam is her father...)

I guessed the killer pretty much the moment s/he appeared in the book. Which would have been okay, but it made me realize that the end of the book was going to be really awful. That kind of spoiled it for me. Also, Olivia became TSTL.

I think she sort of reused Olivia in The Witness, but as a stronger, more interesting character.

You're welcome!

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) I enjoyed this one but felt the end was a bit rushes.

Very True Kris, it was a great story but a much to quick ending for my liking.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) Glad I was not the only one who thought that, Maribel :)
