Tiffanie:

I would prefer not to be captain this round :)

The only names I can come up with are Double Trouble and Two to Get Ready.
I'm glad Steph wants to be captain because I surely don't.

The only others I've been able to come up with so far are Two Hot to Handle and Two-rrific Readers. I'm not the most creative person in the world, lol.

It looks like so far, we have 2 votes for Double Trouble, 2 for Two Hot to Handle, and 1 for Two-rrific Readers. Hopefully Tiffanie will check in today and we can get her opinion.
I went to the library over my lunch hour, and I'm going to have the hardest time keeping myself from reading these books until the first shelf is called. One in particular is just staring at me begging for me to start it, lol.

I've been going through the shelves and marking some possibilities. Excited for the first shelf! Now I just need to finish my current book before Saturday...

I've been going through the shelves too just to see what some of my options are. I'm definitely a mood reader, so if I tried to actually plan out my reads for the different shelves, there's no way I'd stick to the plan!

This will be my 3rd round. Can't wait to get started. Who's going to be team leader? I'm a reader not a leader.
The shelfs look awesome! I have found alot of great new series the last times I have played. Last round I almost made it though the Antia Blake series. Those books were on a lot of shelfs.
I like Two Hot to Handle, but will go with what ever the group wants.

It looks like we have a majority vote for Two Hot to Handle, and that I'll be the captain. Does that work for everyone?

Works for me!

Works for me too!

I'm going to convert my first post into a tracking post for all our books.

I have OCD tendencies too, lol, so I know how that goes. For example, note that our names are in alphabetical order in my list. :)

I went through my June challenge list and marked the ones that could be used here. Hopefully I can overlap the books I read for bingo with my monthly challenges! Love it when that works out.

I think I've decided on

Assassins shelf: Angel and the Assassin
6/2/13
★★✩✩✩
1 star? 3 stars? 5 stars? I don’t know. I don’t effing know.
I loved the first 20% or so with our introduction to Kael. We got to see the full extent of his unapologetic baddassness. He was seriously baddass and I loved it. We also saw how he became a Master. When did he learn this about himself? When any good Master learns. At age twelve. Kael is on a job (he’s the assassin in our story) and while doing the job the victim’s son was there and saw everything. Kael went to the boy’s room with every intention to kill him because of what he saw. Instead he took the sweet, young boy home.
This is when I had problems. Angel is 18 and is in need of a Daddy to take care of him. And by a daddy he means this, "What does having a daddy mean to you? "Without hesitation, Angel said, "A daddy means acceptance and kindness and protection. Stuff like that. Teaching me things. Making me smart." Okay, I’m good with that. I’ve read my fair share of kinky things and a Daddy and his boy is the least of them.
Angel.just.drove.me.crazy.
He was so unlikeable to me. He’s only 18 and a bit of barely legal, age play can be fun, but he didn’t act 18. He acted 12. Maybe. I’m being generous here. He was described as skipping into rooms, he asked permission to swing at the park, he would sit down and throw a fit, stuff a 10 year old would do. Not 18 year old behavior. But what really got me was he used the term ‘Daddy’ 388 times. That’s not normal usage of someone’s name or an endearment. He said daddy in almost every sentence when addressing Kael. Do you say someone’s name every time you talk to them, maybe even 5 or 6 times in a conversation? I didn’t think so. The conversation flowed so unnaturally it was hard for me to read. Angel wanted to badly to be a good boy for Kael and just wanted to please him. This is my favorite kind of sub, a sweet slaveboy who has a genuine desire to please. Angel a was very sweet and innocent sub. But then he kept lying! And disobeying! Just do what Kael says, just once!
I liked the assassin and suspense plot and would have enjoyed reading more of that. I think I would have liked the daddy & his boy interactions if Angel weren’t so annoying because I’ve liked that kink in the past. But this did not work for me.

Command Assassin Nykyrian Quikiades, loved by none feared by all.
Princess Kiara Zamir, loved by many and a political target to some.
Can the nightmares of their past stop their love and desires in the present.
This is the 1st book in The League Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I really liked this book. The banter between the main characters and the sub-characters was funny and though it was the typical bad boy, good girl romance novel, it had me from the beginning to the end.
Sorry ladies, my reviews are not as in depth as Breann's. Hope that is okay.

Your review looks great, Tiffanie! I'm glad you enjoyed your book! I really like that series! :)

Review:
This was another fun edition of the Elemental Assassin series. Gin and Owen hit a bit of a rough patch in this one, and I found myself wanting to smack him a lot of the time, and I commend Gin for actually not doing so. The book moved very quickly, and I found myself often not wanting to put the book down.
On the bad side, there are still issues with repetition, but I don't think it happened as often as it did in earlier books. That or I'm just getting used to it and don't notice it as much anymore. Repetition or not, I'm still very much looking forward to the next book!

My brain always skips over the repetition in this series so I hardly ever notice it.

I'm glad it wasn't just me having that reaction, Sandra! :)
I'm getting better at ignoring the repetition, and it doesn't annoy me near as much as it used to!

Review:
I thought I was going to be annoyed by this book and its protagonist Mac at the beginning, but Emi Gayle suprised me. After Dark turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable read.
Mac is a changeling and she must pick one form to become by her 19th birthday. She has a fairy and a vampire as surrogates parents, but has no clue what form she wants to become.
When Mac meets cute nerd Winn, she begins to learn more about herself from a mysterious book he found in the library and she begins to grow closer to him emotionally. I thought they were sweet together and Winn helped Mac to remember there were other things than just the dark.
I'm excited to continue with this series and can't wait to read Day After. I'm not 100% sold on the switch to Winn as the narrator, but I am sure Emi Gayle will pull it off beautifully.
