It took me a little to get into this one but I did like it. I liked the concept and the different sort of characters. It was good to see something a little different. I liked Karou as a main character but the plot unravelled for me very quickly. I will be reading the next instalment.

Review:
* Neil Gaiman can make the simplest of stories sound magical and this one was no different.
* You feel how lonely Bod must be and yet you crack up at the humor in the story.
* Silas reminded me of Mr. Crispin from the Darren Shan novels, dunno why.
* Jack, all of em, were terrifying!

What can I say Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of my favourite authors and she very rarely misses for me and this one was no exception! Great characters and great story. Tortured heroes is something that Sherrilyn excels at and she did it again in this book although what I like best about the characters in this book is the dry sarcastic humour. Loved this book and of course I will be reading the next one.

Really unique idea in YA, which is a rarity since so many of them tend to be in the same range. Really liked Jay, liked the mystery. It bothered me though that it was pointed out repeatedly how sarcastic Violet was.
I'll probably be continuing with the series, but borrowing from the library, not buying the rest.
Looking through my stack of library books to see if any of them are on the supernatural shelf, will post if I've found one.

Review: It was wonderful to finally read John Matthew's story. The book had a interesting weave of past and present, revealing how some ties are echoes/mirrors of others: John and Xhex, John and Tohr, Darius and Tohr ...
I'll definitely be continuing on to the next book

Review: I really loved this book. Admittedly, I'm a big fan of Sagara's Sun Sword Series and Chronicles of Elantra, but you still never know with a new series and new world. The characters were interesting, the ghost of Drew was heartbreaking and I'm interested to see where the next book takes Emma.

As a big Gena Fan I'm glad this latest book didn't disappoint. Poor Kane He had an awful time in hell and you just want him to be okay but he found a good match is Josephina who certainly had her own issues to deal with. I loved her conversations with herself at the beginning and the fact that the Fae treat the lords like celebrities. William was again one of the big highlights of this book and I can't wait for his story to come out!

Tortured Hero

Review:
* Cute romance-a lot like the first two books.
* Made me think if I'd want to read about Wentworth getting a HEA-probably not lol
* The heroine was too innocent and the hero too tortured.
* Had fun and finished it in no time!

Finished my supernatural book, and will post a review when I'm not on my phone.

Really don't understand how this was on the supernatural shelf, it was more science fiction, but meh, it helped us so oh well.
I really liked the idea behind the story, but there was a LOT that was just randomly thrown in to advance the plot, and never explained. Example - the idea behind the story was that a pair of twins were separated at birth, and one was taken to a government facility and tortured, under the excuse of "running experiments". Then it's briefly mentioned that the reason she was taken was because there was a law that said there could only be two children per family (they already had an older brother). I just felt that a brief mention wasn't enough for such a MAJOR point of the story. Just in my opinion.
I probably will continue with the series, because it ended up on a cliffhanger, and I'd like to know what happened.

Review: Pestilence did a lot of horrible things in the first three books. While your mind may tell you Reseph had no control over Pestilence and should not be punished for it, emotionally it's difficult for his family and friends to handle. Even Reseph cannot help but blame himself for every evil action Pestilence took. Reseph's struggle was heart touching and Ione did a wonderful job bringing the situation to a satisfactory conclusion.
I'm definitely looking forward to Reaver's book.
