well I just found out that I am having surgery on friday and will be down HOPEFULLY only 1 week so it will give me plenty of time to get caught up on my may challenge
3 books down now, and I'm almost done with the 4th. I need to find a new book for 2006. I started reading The Becoming by Jeanne C. Stein and I just couldn't get past the fact that it's written in the first person, present tense. First person, past tense, I have no problem with...but present tense, well, it just didn't feel right and I couldn't get into the story because of it. Am I the only one that feels this way? Oh well. :)2009 -

I've been reading... Just not stuff on my list. (And three of them could fit...)
Lori, I've read some M/M romance I've really liked, but I'm not sure I could go all M/M all the time. I like some really hot erotica--but not all the time. I think I need a mix of stuff. Have to be in the right mood. That said, I'm not sure what mood I'm in now.
Don't know what I want to read next. Have lots of computer stuff to do tonight.

well, that's one more down. I hadn't planned on re-reading anything, but didn't realize til I was about 1/4 of the way through this book that I'd read it before. Shows how much of an impression it made, right? Its not a BAD book--just wasn't something that was especially good. It was readable, but, well. . .
I've been reading a non-fiction book all today. (Ok, mostly while I was sitting in a couple of dr's offices, its been one of "those" days.) Its about the mix up after the Taylor University van that was struck by a truck. The one where Whitney Cerak was mis-identified as Laura Van Ryn. And it was 5 weeks before they found out about the mistake. Its been a really good book. I've cried a lot while reading it. Its a tear jerker, as you follow the heartbreak that the 2 families are going through. But I would recommend it, if you want a non-fiction book that isn't sensationalized.

I've just started Dead Beat which is book 7 of the Dresden Files. It's my 5th book, published in 2005. So far I'm doing OK on this series thing but I'm not sure how much longer I can keep this up. Dresden is OK, but man... LOL I'm definitely not hte rabid fan of Butcher some people are. I'm getting a little weary of the bash on Harry parade that happens in every stinking book. I've always been bored with fight scenes. (Seriously I nearly fell asleep in that second Lord of the Rings movie... three hours and one hour was one battle? Good golly... *SNORE*)
On the bright note, Dead Beats is the first of these Dresden hardbacks and those suckers are massive. The rest of the books are all massive hardbacks. Yay for freeing up space! The bad news is I have now freed up four books from my TBR and my mother just brought me three. LOL No wonder this bookcase never seems to get free of books ;) HAHA
I need to have another 25 book month like in January ;) HEHEHE

Liked this one better than the previous Asaro Luna book, I think. It's a good, big adventure, lots-of-plot story.

Wow Michelle, good job on finishing!!!I can't seem to get people to leave me alone today and I have a headache so I haven't finished today's reading goal. :( (I'm close only 30 more pages.) Which is disappointing because I really wanted to stay way ahead. Oh well, at least I'm not behind and I know i"ll get those 30 pages in at some point. I'd really like to be halfway through this book today since it's my halfway point and today is halfway through May! HEHE

I just had to read "Undead and Unwed" before "Undead and Unappreciated" - really fun series... it's a lot more tongue-in-cheek than the SVM series and the romance bits are just as yummy....
