Harshvardhan Beniwal (iam_hvb) I desperately want that JK Rowling should continue her series, movies are not necessary but this series should never stop..!!

Dania (adaydreamer) | 2 comments I really wish she'd write a book about what happened after the war.
When they got married and had kids, and tell us more about what happens with the other characters.
I really wish she does! :(

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

I like the way she ended it, but I was heartbroken when the books ended.

thats true but i think she was in hurry to end it..!!

Brianna | 45 comments I like the ending. I'm happy she stuck to what she said, and only wrote seven books. This is my absolute favorite series, but I would hate to see it dragged out unnecessarily.

message 6: by low (new)

low (lows) | 248 comments I second that Brianna!

Cammie (ham4cam) | 9 comments Most definitely not. The way the franchise was created and is still taking off is perfect and the closure was the best. No one should ever come along and ruin the perfect 'ending'.

Alyna (queenofsnakes) | 6 comments I loved the books, don't get me wrong and it would be great if there was anything more she could add. But I like the way it was ended and feel that anything more would just make the series feel dragged out.

Insi I think she should continue

message 10: by Insi (new) - rated it 5 stars

Insi Beacause then we cud learn more about Hogwarts and The Wizarding World...

Ishani (ishanig) | 425 comments I'd really like Rowling to write another book but at the same time I think the ending was just perfect....
Though I feel like I want to read more about Harry, Hogwarts, Voldemort I know that nothing can be better than the those seven books she wrote....
For me they'll always be the best and I'll not want the series to be dragged anymore.

message 12: by Aydin (new)

Aydin Sessions (justin_case) | 406 comments She could write one on Voldemort's life or the series in is view
Or any character like Ron or even Draco

message 13: by Donnary (last edited Jun 05, 2013 02:39AM) (new)

Donnary (Donnary17) | 2 comments Im satisfied with the ending. I wouldnt want it if she write another one just for the fans. It might ruin the series.

Although, I would love it if JK write another book of a different generation of witches and wizards from Hogwarts (from the past or the future).

Laura Cantu (lauraccantu) | 11 comments YES! I want to know more! What kind of job did Harry get after he left Hogwarts? How about the other characters? After traveling with the characters through the "hard" times, I would like to see how they changed after the battle. What steps did they take to clean up the rest of the wizarding society once Voldemort was killed? etc.

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) I'm satisfied with the ending. If it continues, it will be dragging. I mean, it's really enough though it's hard to end this series.

Epic ending for me.

message 16: by Anita Reads (new)

Anita Reads | 49 comments I think it was good that she stopped after the 7 books, it makes sense. Also she should stop while the story is still good.
If she was to make a new book, what would it be about though, other than them an their families and kids. There won't be any real battles because they already fought evil. So I only think it would be dragging the story out unnecessarily.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, I agree with those of you who say that it would just be dragged out. I love the ending the way it is. I wouldn't mind if J.K Rowling made a whole other series about different kids who go to Hogwarts. :) She could totally write up some other evil character or something. It would never be as good as Harry Potter though.

message 18: by Aydin (new)

Aydin Sessions (justin_case) | 406 comments She could try one on a student at drumstrang or beautbatons or about grindlewalds reign or even about the founders

message 19: by Loretta (new)

Loretta | 14 comments I would like her to create a spin off series of the Harry Potter series and pick up from The kids that Harry Ron and Hermione have

message 20: by Donielle (new)

Donielle Mauger | 2 comments I would LOVE to know what the clean up was like!

message 21: by Aya (new)

Aya Ling | 2 comments I also agree about writing other characters in the same universe, I feel that Harry's story is already complete. I'd also like to read a prequel of Lily/James and the Marauders.

message 22: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 17 comments mmmm... well the ending is nice and it really ends the story. If she would continue it on it might be too much and be a bit boring. I don't know.

message 23: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Lemans | 1 comments I think a book about Voldemort, Snape or Dumbledores life would be awesome!

message 24: by Aydin (new)

Aydin Sessions (justin_case) | 406 comments Somewhere online someone suggested to do one on Peter pettigrew and how his life was changed
I would totally read that

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

JK Rowling will be posting a very emotional backstory for remus lupin on pottermore. I can't wait to read it. It would be nice to get more details on - a lot - of the characters but, overall, I was satisfied with how she ended the series. I wouldn't want the story to feel too drawn out and lose momentum. :)

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

If you wanted to read more about Harry Pottter read:
-the James Potter series
-Quidditch Through the Ages
-Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them
-The Tales of Beedle the Bard

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

i wish she would continue...

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

i would like her too continue. or at least a spinoff series about dumbledore or something. the story of the founders would actually be quiet interesting!

message 29: by Sssalma (new)

Sssalma | 1 comments It was actually better off ending the story or else we would have followed Harry Potter to his funeral. Each book, like it or not, is going to require you to turn the page and realise you are at the end of it; nineteen years later was J.K.'s style.

And there's always fanfiction to read!
But I don't think she should write more on the Harry Potter books, i don't know, it just feels wrong.

Genevieve Ruesch I think that maybe J.K. Rowling should write a prequel about James, Sirius, Lupin, and Snape, etc. But I don't know if it would be as good to write an after-the-war book just because it could end up being a let down after the AMAZING series that HP already is.

message 32: by Marta (new)

Marta Maybe she could write the adventures of Albus Severus Potter in Hogwarts...

message 33: by Larissa (new)

Larissa (feelfreetofrolic) There are so many ways she could continue. Not necessarily a 'Harry Potter' continuance, but prequels, the children's lives, backstories of other characters, etc. Same world, but different stories and perspectives.

message 34: by Sabrina (new)

Sabrina (crypticsilence) | 1 comments Well, she could do a next generation kinda thing. I would really love to read about their kids, their time at Hogwarts. I will never lose hope she will do this sooner or later. I became a fan of this series pretty late (just a few years ago), but I just can't let go of this story so easily.

message 35: by C (last edited Jul 31, 2013 02:22AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

C (beyondtheveil) | 4 comments I admit, I don't want any more, even being a rabid Harry Potter fan. I think it's come full circle, and to embellish upon it any more would ruin the story. I have to say, though, I do hold the controversial views that the epilogue was rather unnecessary and that Harry, in my opinion, should have died.

message 36: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Hyde (rachelwrites93) | 64 comments I wouldn't mind her doing a one off story on the Marauders...but I do think to continue the series would kind of spoil the originals. They're amazing books and if she wrote another one that didn't reach the already-so-high expectations, it would hurt the Harry Potter world we all know and love.

message 37: by Jack (new)

Jack D. (anthonyburgess) | 31 comments I wouldn't want any stories about Harry or any of the kids. I think that story is finished and doesnt need any more. I think it would be awesome if she did a prequel, like the founding of hogwarts, more about voldemort growing up, etc.

message 38: by C (new) - rated it 5 stars

C (beyondtheveil) | 4 comments But, I admit, I would love a novel on the founding of Hogwarts.

Trina | 3 comments Personally I love HP just the way it is!!!

message 40: by Tori (new)

Tori (torithatnerd) Rachel Caroline wrote: "I wouldn't mind her doing a one off story on the Marauders...but I do think to continue the series would kind of spoil the originals. They're amazing books and if she wrote another one that didn't..."

I completely agree with that. If she wrote anything else, it should be about the marauders and their time at Hogwarts leading up to the first wizarding war. I'd love to read that. But anything else, like a sequel, could possibly harm the series.

message 41: by A (new)

A H I wouldn't like to read about the next generation....i.e., Harry's kids. But is she should really write some more of HP, it could be the time of James and Lily Potter - when they were kids and had entered Hogwarts....or she could write the story of Voldemort from his childhood to how he became 'You know Who'

message 42: by Janette (new)

Janette | 1 comments I love the series very much, and while a part of me wants it to continue, I think that there would be a lot to live up to. I'd rather be sad but content with the final installment than be disappointed with a continuation - though my bias toward HP would make that chance roundabouts nil.

message 43: by M.E. (new) - rated it 5 stars

M.E. | 2 comments Yes the series should end. It's sad; I really LOVE the Harry Potter books. I've read some series where the author continued writing long after the story was dead. I mean like REALLY DEAD. Though Harry Potter is amazing, I'm not even sure it could be resurrected in any way (i.e. from Voldemort's point of view or from the kids point of view). That may make it worse, though I'm sure J.K. Rowling could find a way to do it. The only thing is she said that she was rather burnt out after the series ended (who wouldn't be). I'm just happy she wrote the stories in the first place. I kind of laugh thinking about all the publishers that turned it down. I wonder how many times he or she banged their head against a wall in their office.

Haha--that last sentence is so true!

message 45: by Wm. Scott (last edited Aug 09, 2013 05:18AM) (new)

Wm. Scott Conway (wsconway) | 6 comments I think the Harry Potter Canon should remain closed, but I think it would be kind of cool to spin-off from it. This is the way it was done for Star Wars. Readers of Star Wars books call it the Star Wars Extended Universe.

Maybe something like Hogwarts Tales, where wizarding students before and after Harry's time discover Hogwarts' secrets, or perhaps exploring minor characters to the HP central story, like The Rise and Fall of Lucius Malfoy.

I can see it all now. One Deadly Orchid: The Untold Story of Professor Sprout or Poetry and Position: How a Ragged Old Witch's Hat became the Hogwarts Sorting Hat or even Something Wicked This Way Comes: The Profound Tenure of Hogwarts Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black.

A book chronicling McGonagall's pre-HP life would be most interesting, as would Dumbledore's biography. Maybe even a book chronicling the first war against Voldemort.

message 46: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenco) I think she should write another series about the Marauders

Kaitlyn | 18 comments Nothing about Harry. I think she should do like a prequel and describe the life's of Lily James Sirius Lupin Snape and Peter

message 48: by Yue (new)

Yue | 33 comments As much as I want to read more about HP or prequels, I think there should not be anymore books about him. Not to offend anyone who is fan of Cassandra Clare, but I have to take her as an example. I like Magnus Bane more than the other characters, but Clare is writing so many spin-off of him that it gets to a point when you say "enough". And I don't want that to happen to HP, ever.

message 49: by Aydin (new)

Aydin Sessions (justin_case) | 406 comments The full story of the founders of hogwarts would be nice

message 50: by Marsha (new)

Marsha | 4 comments I can't live without HP but you know i think the ending was perfect and all but maybe she should make a new story about wizards. about his child it is a new story. god how much i miss harry potter. :'(
