Alex Rogers (alexirogers) | 16 comments Hey guys I'm looking for reviews for both my books. I'm Only Human After All and Drifting. The books are based off of the events that happened in my life and were formulated to show the reader that things do get better. The topics covered range from bullying, depression, self-image, self-esteem, and many more. It's a great book series and I feel that it can change the world but I need reviews on amazon and other retailers to back it up and help it get into the schools. So far, I'm Only Human After all (the first book on bullying) has been selected as a reading in several schools as well as being featured in a documentary hosted by MTV International. I have mobi files available for both I'm Only Human After All and Drifting. Thanks guys!

Back cover text for I'm Only Human After All:

What do you do if you find yourself suddenly, and without provocation, the target of high school aggression, relentless insults, and painful isolation? Such is the dilemma of teenager Alex Rogers, the main character in I'm Only Human After All, the thought-provoking, absorbing novel inspired by the real-life trials of the author by the same name. In this penetrating story, Rogers draws from his personal experiences to offer invaluable insight to students, teachers, and parents everywhere on today's increasingly common, and highly damaging, instances of bullying and cyber-bullying. The novel's poignant, reflective first-person narrative details all that bullied young adults confront, casting crucial new light on this timely topic to enable individuals to cope with this pervasive problem. I'm Only Human After All also represents the debut work of fiction in the ongoing "Empowerment" series based on the author's life that surrounds topics relevant today.

Back Cover text for Drifting:

With his troubled past behind him and his older brother away for college, Alex finds himself searching for more. No longer does he wish to merely exist but also to belong. In Drifting, the sequel to I'm Only Human After All, Alex is taken under the wing of a more popular kid at school, Marcus, who introduces Alex to the underlying politics of the high school they attend.
With a newly found social life, Alex escapes from the monotonous pressures of life through frequent outings and late nights.Things seem to be fine until one critical moment changes everything, causing Alex to step back and contemplate the new path he has chosen.
Once again, Rogers draws from his personal experiences in Drifting, detailing his journey of coming into his own. In this openly expressive narrative, Rogers battles with peer-pressure, self-esteem, and self-acceptance as he re-tells his high school years.

And here is the link for the sequel, Drifting.
