Lance (4-lan) | 9 comments Hello, I have been a member of this site for some time now. However, I am never sure of the controls or appropriate places to make a post.
Two things: I do post a book review blog on The Book Marketing Network and usually copy and paste to my goodreads page.
Also, I have recently started uploading a serialized version on my YA Dark Fantasy novel onto Wattpad. It is entitled 'Blood and Fire' and is currently holding the 130 rank in fantasy. My pen name under which I publish is Stephen Paolini.
Thank you all :-)

Rom Gayoso | 2 comments Hi Rebecca,
The non-fiction section does not have a space for business or economics books... I wanted to add mine, but did not find a proper place in non-fiction. Would you consider adding this category?

New sections added!

So as to make sure that the section does not get too heavily bogged down with all the different sub-genres of Romance, no new Romance sections will be created unless there is great demand.

I find that most books don't. Take Soulless, it's sci-fi, fantasy, speculative, historical and romance all at once. You can post reviews in multiple threads.

Ecology is generally classed as a sub-genre of science fiction so feel free to post any suitable reviews there.

Alicia Ehrhardt (aliciabutcherehrhardt) A plea for a Mainstream thread.

The Thorn Birds is mainstream. Gone With the Wind is mainstream. The Pillars of the Earth and Rebecca and Jane Eyre are mainstream. The Name of the Rose is mainstream. On the Beach is mainstream. Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn are mainstream.

Yes, they also fit in other categories - literary, historical, sometimes romance - but they are written more widely, designed to appeal to men and women of many ages.

The used to be labeled merely 'A novel' when they came out, and that's what I grew up on - and what I write.

I can't even find it as a category on Amazon.

Does anyone else feel the same?

ETA: 'General fiction' is a little vague - almost anything fits in there.

Sometimes you have to dig a little past the first few topics on the page, they tend to get buried if they're not so popular :)

When it come to War, do you mean as non-fiction or war fiction?
