Ellen Holtzman | 1 comments This is my first post on Oprah's book club. I am a psychotherapist and an author. I like books where character is an important aspect of the story, and all of Elizabeth Strout's books fit the bill. I just finished her latest, "Tell Me Everything." Some readers might feel as if not enough happens in the book. I would say that things happen, in a quiet and subtle way. The book centers upon the interaction between the characters.

Ellen we are on the same page (pun intended) when it comes to character driven plot. The fascinating part for me is to learn why characters do things not just that they do them.

Shelley Brenkley | 4 comments I was astounded by the team's technical skills, meticulousness, and commitment to achieving results. Their ability to navigate the intricate realm of cryptocurrency and cybercrime was extraordinary. The team's dedication to assisting victims of fraud and scams was evident in their relentless pursuit of justice against these criminals. Thanks to the outstanding services of DUNE NECTAR WEB EXPERT, I successfully recovered my stolen money and can now finally pursue my dream of establishing my own pastry business. I am eternally grateful for their support and would strongly recommend their services to anyone who has fallen prey to cryptocurrency scams or fraud. Their expertise and professionalism are unparalleled, and their commitment to combating cybercrime is genuinely admirable.

Mary Reading Animal Farm book. Before that book called "Heaven is a real place" which was great comforting read. A psychic medium tells what we can expect in the afterlife. Would highly recommend this book.

When it comes to romance, I love reading books by Kennedy Ryan and Beverly Jenkins. However, I'm more into thrillers; I enjoy books by Shari Lapena. Currently, I'm reading "The Perfect Marriage" by Jeneva Rose. I started to DNF the book, but then it picked up around chapter six!

In terms of more recent releases, the best books I've read in the last couple of years have been:

More: A Memoir of Open Marriage
Everything I Know About Love

Not going to post it here, but I'd highly recommend my own newly released memoir as well ;p

message 8143: by Collin (last edited Feb 07, 2025 03:39PM) (new)

Collin Brandon | 1 comments Hi there! Collin here.

I just recently came across a book that one of my students shared with me. The name of the book is "Mind Games" by Landon Prosser. Apparently this is an African-American author starting a series in the psychological thriller genre.

Mind Games Mind Games by Landon Prosser
Landon Prosser

In a nutshell: In a home scarred by past trauma and haunted by a mind-bending villain who can twist memories, a mother and daughter stand on the brink of another battle—this time armed with an unbreakable bond and a secret power that may be their only chance at survival.

I think if you go to Kindle you can download it, but I think you can get it cheaper on other sites. If anyone else has read it, or reads it..... let me know your thoughts.
