Maybe the book resonated with me because I was also really stupid at that age (although not in the same way as this crowd). I guess you have to get in touch with your inner college student so that you can relate to what Richard was feeling.

This is very disheartening to hear.

This was my second time reading this book, and I fell in love all over again... JoJo Moyes is one of my new favorite author..."
I loved this too, Britany, a really engaging love story.

That'so too bad. It's one of my all time top 5 books.

Anne, I also loved The Secret History so much - just thought it was so moving and the language brilliant.

Interesting concept, just didn't reach that level where I connected with these characters, and didn't particularly care for the vague ending...

A well known author travels back to her hometown to un-cover an unknown murder of an infant. Nothing really stood out in this one for me...

Now Reading:

What did you think of Valley of Amazement? I own it but haven't read it yet.

My review is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Also read Far As the Eye Can See: A Novel - 3 stars but worth reading . My review :https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I usually read around 2 books week depending on the length unless I end up having more time . I'm retired but am busy pretty much every day helping my mother , taking her to appointments etc , helping our with grandkids , so most of my reading is in the evening and late at night .
If I had more time , I would definitely read more !

I almost always read one book at a time . The exception is going on now because of the group read of Ulysses and we are reading it one episode a week . If not for that , I can only focus on one at a time , especially if I am really liking it . I write my review right after I finish reading usually before I start another book .

WWII, Museum locksmith, Two souls connected, Jules Verne all come together to craft a brilliantly written novel that exudes magic.

It's worth reading but I didn't like it as much as other Amy Tan's books. However; it had a great historical facts and it was an interesting read.

Will start today Suspended Sentences: Three Novellas. I want to see what this Nobel Prize winner's writing is like.
