Lela (lacslc) | 191 comments I'm reading "Girl in White Pajamas." I'm not sure why. It's not doing much for me but I can't ever seem to just quit - I always think there will be some redeeming factor eventually!

message 1353: by Christine (new)

Christine (cheerbear) | 3 comments House Rules by Jodi Picoult is a novel surrounding its entirety around a boy with autism and the challenges he faces with family and society. Just getting started, however I'm already hooked!

message 1354: by Adalis (new)

Adalis | 11 comments Just finished reading Ready Player One. For anyone wondering, nope, it's not worth reading, just steer clear of it. Predictable with very few interesting moments. I just can't understand why it's so popular.

Ultimately Always On My Mind is a love story that grips you so tightly that it never lets go. Always On My Mind

Tara Green | 2 comments Hi its Tara (a voracious reader)here from Western Australia.

Have just literally put down (I could not stop reading) Always On My Mind by Megan Henry and am absolutely spellbound and captivated.

It is like nothing I have read before. It floored me with its rawness and cut deep into the recesses of my heart.

I simply cannot stress how every reader needs to read this book as it relates intimately to all our emotions.

It explores the shearing and Indigenous history of the Australian outback, the Maori culture of New Zealand and the heartbreaking despair of a broken heart.

Check out the author's amazing website www.meganhenry.com.au

Happy Reading!!!!

message 1397: by Lela (new)

Lela (lacslc) | 191 comments Added i"Girl on a Train" to my currently reading list - for a group read. Too many books at once!

Bridget's Quiet Corner (chaptersandscreens) Legend by Marie Lu & still working my way through Roots: The Saga of an American Family by Alex Haley Roots isn't a bad book by any means, but it's just big, intimidating and a lot to take in...Ive read big books before but none that were with quite so much going on! Ive been reading this book off and on for the last 6-8 months...I'll pick it up, put it down, so on...Finally close to finishing it.
