"What My Mother Doesn't know" by Sonya Sones is poetry structured novel that I recommend to 13 year old girls and older. It's interesting, because it shows emotions that girls feel throughout their teenage years. I really enjoyed it, I related to it a lot especially since my mom doesn't know everything about me. This book won the Iowa Teen Book award in 2005-2006. It's similar to "What My Girlfriend Doesn't know which is also a book written by Sonya Sones.
