Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) I realized earlier, as a result of some fellow Chicks picking up last Summer's goals thread, that we hadn't posted one for this Spring. Believe it or not, (especially if you're living through a heat wave as of late!) Spring is only just over a month old now and has nearly 2 months to go, so we've got plenty of time for our Spring goals!

I've already accomplished one goal for this Spring, which was an editing project for a manuscript of mine.

I'd like to get started on converting the spare bedroom into a spare bedroom/office for yours truly, finish getting our bedroom straitened out (which won't be finished until the spare room is), get caught up on my pen pal letters & reading, get started on a couple of new writing idea's, keep exercising and keep going over my photo's (tinkering with them & posting them to my blog).

So, what are your goals this Spring?

Holli Well...mine would be to get organized. I want to get my office more streamlined so I have a good system set up. I need to get my bedroom and bathroom organized and winter things put on the shelves and summer things brought out to the front. I have a closet upstairs in one of the guest rooms that REALLY needs organization. So I'll be doing that I think until summer gets here and I get started on my photos.......

Brandie (brandiemichelle) Because I'm freakishly OCD, I don't have much to organize. BUT, I got married in September and STILL haven't printed out our wedding pictures, which I'm dying to do, and get them all into a photo album. I printed some and framed them around the house, but haven't wanted to spend the cash for the rest. That's the one thing I really want to do soon, soon, soon. And mulch. We gotta mulch and plant some more flowers. And powerwash the house :) I'm thinking of more things as I'm typing....lol.

message 4: by Lizzi (new)

Lizzi Organization sums up a chunk of my goals. I want to organize all the boxes we store in the garage and go through all the clothes that are in the majority of those boxes. On a personal note, I'd like to be a better pen-pal to my CoL pals and my other friends/family, finish my book groups picks on time, and start writing more. Above all I'm determined to stay healthy/lose weight by exercising and eating better...I am hosting a bridal shower next spring and attending a wedding next March and I'm determined to look and feel awesome at both. I think that's a pretty good list for now.

Here's to accomplishing our goals!

message 5: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker I need to work on my organization too. Moving my stuff home will help with this because I'll have to go through stuff in order to accommodate all of the things that were important enough for me to take to college. I also want to read, buy a Kindle, start running, start practicing my tennis, plus get a base tan. My spring goals are mainly the same as my summer goals...

Jessica (jess0702) | 24 comments I need to get things organized too! That, and finish out my first year of teaching still sane...

message 7: by Pam (new)

Pam (pamelaprev) | 18 comments My spring goal is to make room for my daughter and her stuff when she comes home from college. She's graduating in mid-May, so EVERYTHING must come home. Then, I'd like to organize/purge/pack so when she leaves in August to spend a year in St. Louis, it can be a relatively simple move... I know, I know, there's no such thing...

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) No there isn't when it comes to moving, but anything you can do prior will only help! Good luck with everything!

K.S.R. (kareyshane) | 116 comments Ditto to getting organized, ya'll, but mine comes in the form of learning how to can food! My mom always canned stuff, but I didn't get that gene. I have vivid images of poisoning my family that seem to hold me back.

But I'm going to try it. I'm going to a neighbor's house tomorrow night to learn how . . . again. And, my husband and I are going to plant a garden this year! Wahooo! He's been ixnaying the ardengay for three years now. He's finally admitted his dreamed of shed is NOT going in that space. And so, peas and carrots, here I come. Dirt on my hands and knees, bring it on!

Holli I know someone who is way into canning and veggie gardening Karey...would you like her blog address so you can peruse her posts about it?

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) Oooo, can you send me the blog addy too Holli?

YAY for the garden Karey!

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) Lol teri! Yup, I have piles too when organizing!

Shelby *trains flying monkeys* Ooh I would love the blog for the canning too. I can do simple ones like jellies and pickles but I think my gardening may be a bit more than that. I love it though :)

message 14: by Holli (new)

Holli Shelby, I'll send her blog link to ya.

Teri, you just described me and Brad to a TEE. When i get started organizing I pile things everywhere and I don't want them touched at all. It drives Brad insane to see them sitting there like that day after day and I think its funny to watch. He starts out by politely pushing me to hurry up and get it organized and then two weeks later it turns into "when are you going to pick that shit up and put it away?". I just laugh at him....poor guy....

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) Vic is the same way! lol

Holli Me too!!

Katie (katieisallbooked) | 319 comments My first priority is cleaning out our spare room. It's our nursery-to-be and a complete disaster.

I LOVE organizing things. In fact, I can be pretty anal at times. I get to a certain point every month where I just can't take the mail sorter being full anymore or clutter sitting around. It's then that I turn into an organizing tornado!

message 19: by Jennifer W (new)

Jennifer W | 2175 comments I'm so jealous... I can't organize to save my life. I'm such a packrat! Having a tiny studio apartment doesn't help, for sure, but the more space I have the more I just spread out. I just can't bring myself to go home after a long day at work and clean, I just wanna pull up my good book or movie and veg. More power to you ladies!!

Kat (A Journey In Reading) (ajourneyinreading) | 390 comments My spring and summer goal is to enjoy reading for pleasure all I can... after Aug 17, it will all come to an end and reading textbooks will be the necessity.... organizing.... not until I finish grad school.
