What the HELL is with Erin?!

Jeesh, she turns so slutty and bitchy in this book! Surely it can't all be because Shaunee realised she was better off without her? It doesn't make sense to betray the rest of her friends just because Shaunee wanted her own space. I mean, Dallas? REALLY? After everything he's done to Stevie Rae? I just don't get her at all, and I really hope she doesn't get forgiven at the end of it all and say it was all just some 'mistake'.

The problem with Erin is that P.C. Cast can't write to save her life. She has no idea how to write foreshadowing or believable character development that wasn't pulled out of her ass. We don't see Erin gradually becoming this bitchy evil person; it's just thrown in our faces out of nowhere. It was completely unbelievable, and I thought the Cast ladies were pushing it way too hard for how awful it had been done. Erin wasn't evil, the author's just got bored with her, or wanted to shake things up and thought that would do it.

I think that the authors have been changing the characters as the series went along. I was so mad when she made sweet Eric into this horrible, vile creature! He wasn't like that! Now with Erin. I just... I hate how all of this is turning out. This series should have ended long ago. There will be two more books. I will read them, because I have to know what happens, but nothing will be as good as the first 3 or 4 books, before any of this unreasonable stuff started happening.

I totally agree.

I thought her character COMPLETELY changed and I found it really annoying. I think it was just another reason to make the series drag on EVEN MORE

I hated that, how she did that to everyone.

Erin has changed a lot, I just wanna know why Erin is so dang heartless, we know about all of their pasts except for Erin, we learn a lot about Shaunee but we hardly learn anything about Erin, like why did she change so much? And I hate how she doesn't see that Dallas is just using her to get information so he can tell Neferet and I'm hoping as well they don't forgive her, she doesn't deserve it, she's dating a guy who hurt and almost killed one of her friends and she doesn't have an excuse and if that's a mistake, it's pretty dumb of her. Aurox did kill Dragon Lankford but he is trying to earn their trust and proving to them that he is not evil, like he did in Hidden, but Erin def should not be forgived.

Did you guys read Hidden's 'hidden' epilogue? The very last line gives us a shocking revelation about Erin's character...

I thought she was a terrible bitch until I read the epilogue for Hidden. I then, like Shaunee, forgave everything bad I ever thought about her.

It was such a shock for me aswell, she didn't seem so cold hearted before this book.
