Scientists Clone Glowing Dogs
I saw that in the paper this morning. So weird. Apparently their stomachs and nails are always red because the skin is so thin, or something.
Ruppy? What a stoopid name.
Glowing dogs?! I hate the world! I was trying to explain stuff like this to our students, yesterday (cloning and genetic engineering came up in a book), and I don't think the kids believed me.

And, shouldn't they be using guinea pigs for this kind of thing?

Black cats especially are hard to see in a dark house, and they do like to walk right in front of you, and then stop. So you'll pet them. Which you would, if you knew they were there...

good thinking jackie. btw - i hear they did not test any shampoo's or conditioner on these radioactive dogs

Actually, this is just a step in the genetic experimentation to pave the way for repairing diseased genes. I think the fact they are 'moving up the chain' to dogs & cats instead of just mice, etc is to get closer & closer to human genes.

Anyways, you're not hurting me with all this loose talk about sports, RA. You're hurting Sally, who has been sobbing ALL NIGHT...

I want to make a promise. I want to make a promise here and now. I will keep baseball talk in the baseball thread IF you don't post any evil stupidass cat pictures. Cat pics will be met as an act of war and will be met with discussion of earned run averages, lineup changes, and pictures of Don Zimmer.
Ah! I just got back from posting a cat picture!
I don't know if I can make that deal. I see a cute cat picture, I feel compelled to share it with Jackie.

The Yankees are playing well offensively, but their investment in pitching isn't paying off.
the Mariners are in first place.

AND that was a relevant cat picture, as those were the glow-in-the-dark cats Lori had referenced previously, in post 11.
Okay, I'm done quibbling. Sounds like a deal to me. How about you, Sally?

Perhaps we should go for a policy of moderation. I like cats more than you like sports.
*sigh*
Ok, fine. But I prewarn you sportos that I'll skim your posts and might miss out on any non sported conversation points.

This is not the world as I know it.

Good. Now I'll be able to get a dog I can see in the dark.
No, seriously, that pic on the right is kind of creepy.
Although, with a little science, Paris Hilton won't have to use night vision anymore when she wants to video herself gettin' it on in the dark...
