Good. Now I'll be able to get a dog I can see in the dark.

No, seriously, that pic on the right is kind of creepy.

Although, with a little science, Paris Hilton won't have to use night vision anymore when she wants to video herself gettin' it on in the dark...

I saw that in the paper this morning. So weird. Apparently their stomachs and nails are always red because the skin is so thin, or something.

Ruppy? What a stoopid name.

Glowing dogs?! I hate the world! I was trying to explain stuff like this to our students, yesterday (cloning and genetic engineering came up in a book), and I don't think the kids believed me.

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments THIS makes me feel icky. I don't like it... not one bit.

The puppy's cute, though.

message 7: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments it would seem to be a good idea if your dog kept running off at night though

message 8: by Ivy (new)

Ivy (theafricangourmet) I think this is science run amuck

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments What I really want to know is if they have good homes for the dogs.
And, shouldn't they be using guinea pigs for this kind of thing?

message 10: by Lori (new)

Lori They made glow-in-the-dark kitties last year.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Am I wrong in thinking those would be helpful in preventing tripping-over-kitties-in-the-dark type accidents?
Black cats especially are hard to see in a dark house, and they do like to walk right in front of you, and then stop. So you'll pet them. Which you would, if you knew they were there...

message 12: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
But WHY?

message 13: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments whew, had to go back and reread Lori's

good thinking jackie. btw - i hear they did not test any shampoo's or conditioner on these radioactive dogs

message 14: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments Absolutely not, that would be unethical!

Actually, this is just a step in the genetic experimentation to pave the way for repairing diseased genes. I think the fact they are 'moving up the chain' to dogs & cats instead of just mice, etc is to get closer & closer to human genes.

message 15: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments right. next they will test stuff on NY Yankee fans which are just one step below regular humans

message 16: by Lori (new)

Lori I've always heard the Eagles fans are the worst. And Boston 2nd to them.

message 17: by Lori (new)

Lori Altho that assessment came from a Yankees fan!

message 18: by RandomAnthony (last edited Apr 29, 2009 07:28PM) (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Shh! Sally's gonna cry if you keep poppin' up with sports talk in these threads!:)

message 19: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments PHILLY fans are tough on all their teams. they boo their own guys as much as opposing teams when the suck

message 20: by Matthieu (new)

Matthieu | 1009 comments Careful, I'm a Philly fan. ;)

Also, I detest Boston fans.

message 21: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments yeah, thought about that when i posted. notice i did not say they were bad fans, just tough fans. gotta admit that

message 24: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Excellent, Jackie. Wi eated dem.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Just trying to comfort Sally, Larry.

message 26: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Yeah, the poor kid. Her skin is such a strange color.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments It's an allergic reaction to all the sports talk, Larry.

message 28: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I think that's right.

message 29: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I'm watching Sportscenter as I post, Jackie. And they run Sportscenter, over and over again, until 2PM.

message 30: by Jackie "the Librarian" (last edited Apr 30, 2009 10:40AM) (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments And what color is your skin, RA?

Anyways, you're not hurting me with all this loose talk about sports, RA. You're hurting Sally, who has been sobbing ALL NIGHT...

message 31: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) That's heart wrenching, Jackie. I don't know if I can stand it.

It's not as bad as the time they Sported all over my weather thread.

message 35: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments "sported", heh.

I want to make a promise. I want to make a promise here and now. I will keep baseball talk in the baseball thread IF you don't post any evil stupidass cat pictures. Cat pics will be met as an act of war and will be met with discussion of earned run averages, lineup changes, and pictures of Don Zimmer.

message 36: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
Ah! I just got back from posting a cat picture!

I don't know if I can make that deal. I see a cute cat picture, I feel compelled to share it with Jackie.

message 37: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments As much as I'm a Bulls fan, I don't think Rondo's foul was a flagrant. Dwight Howard got what he deserved.

The Yankees are playing well offensively, but their investment in pitching isn't paying off.

the Mariners are in first place.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I believe that the sports talk came long before the cat picture in this thread, RA.

AND that was a relevant cat picture, as those were the glow-in-the-dark cats Lori had referenced previously, in post 11.

Okay, I'm done quibbling. Sounds like a deal to me. How about you, Sally?

message 39: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments There is no such thing as a relevant cat picture.

Perhaps we should go for a policy of moderation. I like cats more than you like sports.

message 40: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
*sigh*

Ok, fine. But I prewarn you sportos that I'll skim your posts and might miss out on any non sported conversation points.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Wait, WHAT?!? The Mariners are in FIRST PLACE???

Excuse me, I need to sit down. Oh, wait, I AM sitting down...

message 42: by Ivy (new)

Ivy (theafricangourmet) Zim is a cutie pie

message 43: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Hahahahaha....Jacks, I thought that would get your attention....:)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
I'm sorry, Ivy, what?

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Mariner in first place, Mariners in first place....

Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!! Hahahahahahahaha!!!!
Hahahaha...

heh

This is not the world as I know it.

:::fans self with a review journal:::

message 46: by Ivy (new)

Ivy (theafricangourmet) Sorry Sally I will be good

message 48: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments *considers suggesting to Jackie's husband that she really wants to see a first place Mariners' game*
