Glowing dogs?! I hate the world! I was trying to explain stuff like this to our students, yesterday (cloning and genetic engineering came up in a book), and I don't think the kids believed me.

What I really want to know is if they have good homes for the dogs. And, shouldn't they be using guinea pigs for this kind of thing?
They made glow-in-the-dark kitties last year.
Am I wrong in thinking those would be helpful in preventing tripping-over-kitties-in-the-dark type accidents? Black cats especially are hard to see in a dark house, and they do like to walk right in front of you, and then stop. So you'll pet them. Which you would, if you knew they were there...

Absolutely not, that would be unethical!Actually, this is just a step in the genetic experimentation to pave the way for repairing diseased genes. I think the fact they are 'moving up the chain' to dogs & cats instead of just mice, etc is to get closer & closer to human genes.
