Unfettered & How Old Holly Came To Be

Yah, I'm sorta starting to wonder what is up with that book. It was supposed to be released in May, then it got pushed back and supposedly it would arrive in June, but now June is almost over so.....
I pre-ordered my copy in December, I really hope I get it before they do the e-book upload, otherwise I will have to massively role my eyes and sigh...like A LOT.

(my first comment ever, not sure how this is supposed to work, but don't read any further if you haven't read the story)
Deleted comment until I can figure out how this spoiler thing works. Sorry everyone.
James, you can, and should, hide the spoiler. Click the (some html is ok) button on the top right of the comment box.
Better yet, remove the comment and start a spoiler thread for "How Old Holly Came to Bae."

Oh man, I still haven't got my hard copy!?
Man...
*sigh* *eyeroll*
Gosh, I bought this before they even said there would be an e-book....thats just annoying.
*whine* *cry*

Now, now. They indicated there would be an ebook almost immediately. It was just impossible to order and had no release date. It was nerve wracking.
LOL!
Well, I suppose I should admit, I would have bought the hard copy anyway. I simply must have physical copies of Pat's work specifically.
But seriously...they're killing me with this wait.
Anyone know if there is a way to tell if they have started shipping copies out yet?

The Regular Edition Hard Covers are in and will start shipping but will take about 3 weeks to get them all out. He sent an email when my copy of the dark thorn was mailed with a tracking number. The Signed edition is delayed as they are just now doing the signature sheets. I know 4 or 5 have signed the sheets already based on there websites so I would say 4 months or so for the Signed edition.
OH MY GOD...
you take that back right now!
I'm going to my room now, crying the rest of the day. No interruptions please.
In all seriousness though, thanks for the info John. I'm really looking forward to getting my copy of the book, wish the print editions weren't so much more of a hassle than the e-versions, but what can ya do, guess thats the perks of technology.

Okay guys. I can't mod that thread til I get my hard copy...
It's all on one of you that has read it or doesn't mind the spoilers.
I usually don't care, but this particular world is my number one fantasy love so....I'm not going to ruin it for myself.
Oh and thank you for starting a thread and writing spoilers!

I'll moderate it (members are pretty well behaved anyway, good on you chaps! - that sounded less patronising in my head lol). We both know I couldn't stop myself clicking the spoilers anyway! lol

The book was indeed going to come out May 2013. Then I had the great idea, "This book is more than important to me. It needs interior art." So I hired cover artist Todd Lockwood to do interior art too. He was swamped with work so I had to wait my turn and that kicked the book into late June.
I happen to think it is worth it. We'll see what you think. :)
I have begun shipping out books. For instance, all orders with an ARC included are gone from me. I have 2000+ pending orders though and I'm only one man. It's going to take me a while to get those books out. I will ship them out in the order they were ordered. That means October 2012 orders go first and on down the line.
Every night starting Monday, I will update the Grim Oak Press Facebook and Twitter accounts with my progress (ie. what order #s I have shipped out). So join those social media pages if you want to follow.
And lastly, there will likely be an audio book with this. Audible just sent me their terms. I need to have my agent look it over but we'll see if we can't get this moving for those of you who love audio.
Again, thanks for buying the book! Can't wait to talk to you all about it when I'm NOT swamped with shipping! Ha!

thanks, shawn! I'm looking forward to this anthology, and I'm rather excited to hear Pat's story since everyone says it should be head
Tears of joy are pending upon reciept. Thanks for the update Shawn and Mike!
Really excited for this anthology lots of great contributions.
And, now I'm really interested to see this artwork, talk about fancy.

I ordered one of the regular trade copies. To my complete surprise I found it signed by: Shawn Speakman, Todd Lockwood (I believe, not quite sure), Terry Brooks, and Peter Orullian (also not quite sure)!!!!!!!!!! Four down, 19 to go!
Seriously though, I got way more than I could have hoped for. Shawn is one heck of a guy to take care of a reader like that.
To quote Pat: "Fuck cancer"
Oh goodie!!

This is what Shawn Speakman, the volume's editor, wrote in his latest update :
I just checked and it's not yet available for Kobo. It probably won't be until closer around the 25th, but I guess I might check a couple more times before then. I'm really looking forward to having a new Rothfuss/Four Corners story to read.
