evie On Melissa de la Cruz's profile, there's a book called Au Pair Clubbing, but it doesn't say on her website that she's written it, and it says it was published in 2006. Some help here?

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments Evie- I found it on WorldCat as a book by her and another author named Ewa Spirydowicz. I have on there that it was published in 07 though but it does look like she's an author on it.

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments Hi Evie, I looked on a few different places and all the info looks about the same- it is a book by her and the other author I mentioned and I fixed it on here. Hopefully I did it correctly- I think I did.
As far as I can tell it was published in Polish- maybe that's why you hadn't heard of it?

message 4: by evie (new)

evie Maybe, and there's two other books on her profile called "The Immortals" that are in another language.

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments Yes, those are two different books- there is a 1 and a 2 with the same title and they are in a different langauge. Them bing in a different langauge is fine and if they were the same book listed twice I would have combined them but they look different so I'm leaving them alone.
Thanks for asking about it.

Those two books, The Immortals, are in German and they are by her also.

an. (anaisraav) | 30 comments From what I found on Polish websites, it seems that the original title of "Au Pair Clubbing" is "Skinny-dipping" and Ewa Spirydowicz is a translator only.

Corrected and combined. Thanks for letting us know, Evie;)

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments Which website did you use Anna? I'd like to look at that also. Thanks!

an. (anaisraav) | 30 comments Here you go, Eva, but the pages are in Polish.

Firstly, I had a look at the publisher's page. Than checked a very reliable page of one of Polish bookstores. And when I got to work I checked our database, which only confirmed my expectations. (I'm a translator at Amber, the publishing house that published this book.)

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments Thanks Amber- thanks for telling me your methods! I like to figure out what I could have done or done differently. This was the first time I've ever responded first to someone on here so I'm glad you saw the post and looked further.
I had no idea she even had published any Polish books- I think a lot of people are unaware. I actually went back this morning to look at the listing because it had caught my eye when I was there yesterday and the book looks interesting to me. I might go ahead and get it- it looks like a light fun chic-litty kind of book. :)
Thanks again for your help telling me what you did!

Yes, but why on earth post it here?

message 12: by Eva-Marie (new)

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments What is it a link to Cait? I don't click on unknown links but has anyone checked it out?
No matter what it is I can't imagine there being a reason for it in this group, on this thread.

FMA and FRUITS BASKET GEEK!!!- would you care to explain? You commented again to let us know that it was link, even though that happens to be quite obvious- can you let us know what it's to and why you felt the need to put it here?

message 13: by Cait (new)

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments It's just what the URL says, a link to an anime episode. I was hoping that it was posted as a mistake and not as spam....

message 14: by Eva-Marie (new)

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments I'm thinking spam....

Not deliberately so, but yes. Sorry, FMA -- you're out of here. You are welcome to continue reading. :)
