jaxnsmom | 8341 comments Hi Mom! Glad you joined us. You'll find an interesting variety of activities and plenty of great books here.

With triplets you must have plenty to scrapbook! I still do physical scrapbooking, but as I reach the point where all my pictures are digital, I'll probably have to switch.

message 8: by Maureen (new)

Maureen Henderson (mohenderson) | 11 comments Hi everyone! My husband and I are empty-nesters who've recently moved from the Twin Cities of Minnesota to a tiny town in eastern Washington (Walla Walla). I'm a freelance writer and English major who returned to school to finish a degree while raising children in ten different states over the years. (My husband is an hotelier: frequent moving is a prerequisite!) I'm one course short of the degree as I write, the last class being precalculus taken as a distance course from the U of MN.

Now I find myself in the long-awaited, luscious situation of having large chunks of time to read. I love short stories and have a fondness for British and Irish authors in particular. But I just basically adore books, on almost any subject: biographies, history, poetry, current event topics, children's lit, and even science books are fun, I think, to mix in with fiction reading.

I'm looking forward to being part of this group and sharing some reading adventures!

message 31: by Luke (new)

Luke Jackson (grizzlyreader) | 1 comments Hey Guys! I'm really excited to be joining a group of readers like myself! I love the classics of the 20th century that show the human condition and express the ultimate truths in our world. I'm young, but my taste in literature is old. I really want to discuss literature with people who enjoy it as much as I do, to learn and hear others ideas while expressing my own!

message 32: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59947 comments Hi Luke! Welcome to our group. We have buddy reads which may be the perfect way to get people reading and talking about any book. There are quite a few people here who love classics.
