Adrienne It wasn't a bad book, just disappointing cause all that was learned in book 12 was left behind.

Ashley Smith I agree with Adrienne on that it was disappointing. I was hoping for more info on Ranger and a little more action. But it was still good and I still love Janet.

Ashley: if you had the opportunity, what would you do to improve the Plum series? If you knew the past of Ranger, would he still be appealing to you as a romantic interest?

Ashley Smith Well maybe but I don't know the not knowing makes it more interesting. I prefer Joe to Ranger but then again that dark side is appealing. I don't know that I would change anything in the seris except knowing a little more about Ranger. I love the Plum series and really enjoy reading them.

Ashley: If you were to know Ranger's secrets... do you think Stephanie would view Ranger differently? Does Stephanie hold on to Joe because he's safe? Loves her even though he has to know she has feelings for Ranger? My question is why hasn't Janet explore a confrontation between Joe and Stephanie over her feelings for Ranger.

I agree because if was my man I would be pissed! That would make for a good story line but Janet makes if seem that Joe doesn't have a problem with her having a thing for Ranger. I do think she's with Joe because he is the safer choice but I can't say I blame her. He does sound so hot of course Ranger does to. But I would rather have some hot Ital. than so Cuban. I think stephanie would still want to be with Ranger on so level or another just because there is all that heat between them.

Adrienne Ashley: that's why the series has becoming so disappointing. I am sure Morelli would have plenty to say.. More than we need to talk about Ranger. Both men are portrayed as hot and sexy. I guess Morelli being the cop is suppose to be the good guy and Ranger being the mercenary being the bad guy. Yes, I agree there is heat between them. But, is the heat due to the fact Ranger only wants a physical relationship and Stephanie is attracted to the bad boy image. I think another female character should have been brought in to challenge Stephanie whether for Ranger's attention or Morelli's attention. Now that could make interesting reading.

Ashley Smith Adrienne I agree with you on another female being brought in. Stephanie would then have to make a choice on who she wanted to be with. Instead of well I think I want Morelli but then again Ranger look's good to. I do feel like she just want's Ranger because he is the "bad boy" and there is that thrill of the unknown. But I still belive Joe would be the better choice. If you could change one thing about the series what would it be and how do you feel it would make it better?

Adrienne Ashley, Yes, Joe would be a better choice... but Stephanie knows he will always be there. And, that could be what her problem is. I guess Stephanie wants Ranger's bed at RangeMan that's why she can't decide.
I would have Stephanie learn her job and do it well without the continuous slap stick and Ranger rescuing her, allowing her to be resourceful as in the earlier books. Have Stephanie be strong and independent. Stephanie and Lula can be amusing and laugh out loud funny without reducing them to Moe, Larry and Curley of the Three Stooges. Have other women in Morelli and Ranger's lives. Women that challenges Stephanie, without Stephanie getting jealous and insecure. Enough with hiding in the bushes to see what Morelli is doing, that is what women did in high school not in their thirties.
It would take the series out of its rut. You wouldn't know the outcome six pages into the first or second chapters.

Ashley Smith Adriennne, I agree with you 100%. I love that I can laugh at Stephanie and LuLa and their crazyness but some time's it a little to far. I also wish that Stephanie would learn how to do her job instead of just skating by and never knowing if she will end up shot or what not ( of course she's not going to die). I also wish that another woman would come into the picture and put her on her guard. I mean if she can't trust Morrelli then leave him alone (not that I would because that is one hot piece of man meat). And Rnager yeah go ahead and look and what not just don't go to far with him as they say let laying dog's be. I'm hoping that something will change pretty soon so like you said you want know the out come in the first few chapters. I will continue to read them no matter what just because I enjoy them but I wish they would get a little life or something to them.

Adrienne Ashley, I have issues with Stephanie when she becomes jealous of Teri and or Jeanne Ellen Burrows. Its not as if Stephanie is being honest with Morelli... She should step up and talk with Morelli about her attraction to Ranger and wanting to explore it. I guess her own activities with Ranger is causing the suspicions with Morelli. I have a hard time when people believe Stephanie should be married off. I can't see any marriage working for Stephanie until she comes to terms with her own insecurities. I agree another woman whether in Ranger's or Morelli's life would be a wake up call for Stephanie. The woman could either be an employee of RangeMan or a cop or FBI agent for Morelli. The possibilities are endless, Evanovich just doesn't choose to change.
