Hi, I added my blog rss url (http://luxatra.com/blog.xml) to my page and the posts showed. Then I added another blog post to my site but the rss on goodreads did not update. I have waited about 24 hours to be sure. I am not on WP or another blogging site so there aren't any special private/share settings to configure. Thoughts anyone?

Okay. Two days later and now it is updated. Did someone do something or does it take that long?

I believe the moderators told me once that it can take that long.

It seems to be worse than usual this month…over 48 hours and still not updating.

I am so glad to hear I am not the only one this was happening to! I was beginning to think there was something wrong on my end.

Still not updated for me, 4 days later. I may give up and manually copy my blog post over to GR.

My blog has been feeding just fine for months - the post usually shows up by the next day. But the last post three days ago never showed up so there does seem to be a problem.

Still no update. I'm stuck at post 301. I wonder if there's an issue with how many posts?!

I am still waiting for a blog post from Jan 7 to appear (via the RSS feed) in Goodreads. It has shown up almost immediately on my Author Central page, so I know the feed is fine.

Any ETA on a fix for this?

Same here D.C. - and I have a giveaway, so it's not doing goodreads much good if I can't blab about it. (Well I can manually post in my dashboard I guess, might have to!)

I posted an update, but the blog is a little different. I know there are people who at least sometimes read my blog who are not necessarily looking for my updates.

No ETA yet, but it should be soon-- we tried a fix earlier today that didn't work as well as we hoped, so we had to roll it back.

Hi everyone!

We've just released a fix that should sort out the two biggest RSS issues we'd been seeing-- the "page not found" error when trying to add a blog, and the inconsistent updates (there still may be a 1-2 day delay on posts due to regular caching, but the blogs should update again as they used to).

Let me know if you're still experiencing RSS related issues, so that I can pass them along to the development team.

However, for some reason on one of my books the ratings are still not updating, though both a rating and a review were added. Any ideas on that?

This book here: Journey to Landaran. It should have 2 ratings and 3 reviews.

Hi Judy,

The ratings and review counts on book pages are cached to improve site performance, so it can sometimes take a couple of days for new ratings/reviews to show up. I've just manually refreshed the cached on your book, so the counts should be accurate now.

John, I'm not sure which of the issues in this thread you are asking about, but I think you are probably asking about importing blog posts via RSS feed. Author blog posts do import automatically, but not immediately. Goodreads checks thousands of author blogs for updates, and the process (checking one at a time) takes over a day. So it can be a day or two before new blog posts import.
