Miranda (somecrazygingerkid) Has anyone ever done this? I'm currently crazy about going out and trying it. I just might go tomorrow morning or something just to see what its like :D

Nordlys | 15 comments It's so much fun, like treasure hunting :D Very exciting, and so satisfying when able to solve a really difficult one:)

Miranda (somecrazygingerkid) I was watching a movie last night (Netflix suckers me into watching some off the wall movies) and it was so exciting watching them find stuff that I went online and found out that people actually do it around my area :D but im going to have to wait a few days to see about going out and doing it.

Nordlys | 15 comments Hehe, netflix does that!

And what's also fun is that it happens all over the world, so if you're going to another country and have a little time, you can see some amazing areas while geocaching which you may not have seen otherwise.

Umm sorry for the "smart" question but what is Geocaching?

Miranda (somecrazygingerkid) http://www.geocaching.com/guide/
its basically someone hides some sort of "container" holding a random object mostly of no value and then posts the cords on where to find it and people go and find it and leave another item in its place rinse and repeat.

I've never played a treasure hunt. But this would be good if it has riddles.

What are cords? Coordinates?

message 9: by Miranda (new)

Miranda (somecrazygingerkid) coordinates. umm think like 45,21 youd put that into a gps and it would track that till you reach were the container is. and boom you've found the treasure. to me it reminds me of updated times of a pirate. :P

But where is the challenge? Will it be hidden or in the difficult to reach place?

message 12: by Miranda (new)

Miranda (somecrazygingerkid) yes, ive read some are in trees, holes, digging required, in water, under rocks, etc. they are almost never easy to spot for all you know you've walked by a bunch already :D

I can walk past my best friend on the street and not see her! It might be the reason I never find money on the street

Miranda (somecrazygingerkid) lol yea it happens

Nordlys | 15 comments And also, to find many of the coordinates you'll have to first solve a challenge, like a riddle or question of some sort. Some are easy, but some are bloody impossible, even with google. I got all my collegues at work to help me with a question once, and we still have not found the answer...

And Ellie, I do that too... ;)

Miranda (somecrazygingerkid) I was reading that as well that some have pretty hard riddles. theres on near us that weve probably passed by a lot when we took our dogs to this big field I told my bf I want to go soon and go check it out so maybe next week well take our two dogs and go chaching :D
