Book 1/50- Picture Perfect
Pretty good book by Jodi Picoult. One of her earlier ones, published in the 90's and I think she's become a better writer since then, but a good book for any Picoult fan.369 pages
Book 2/50-Forbidden Sister
By one of my all time favourite authors V.C. Andrews. Though since she died and a ghost writer took over, her books haven't been the same. If you've never read V.C. Andrews I'd say read her earlier books like Flowers In the Attic. This book was decent but like I said the books haven't been the same since the ghost writer.432 pages

Book 3/50 Between the Lines
Written by Jodi Picoult and her teenage daughter. I love all of Picoult's books so of course I had to read this one even though it's a YA book. What I liked about it is that it has a story that has never been told before. Good book for teenagers who are maybe too young to read Picoult's other books.352 pages

By J.A. Konrath. I read all the other books in this series so decided to read this one too. Good book, crime novel but it's also funny. Memorable characters.258 pages

Book 5/50 Stirred
by J.A. Konrath and Blake Crouch. I've never read anything by Crouch before so I was a little hesitant when I saw this book was co-authored. Little did I know this was even better than the last one. Konrath and Crouch together are an awesome team. Konrath with his quirky private detective main character and Crouch with his serial killer who will chill you to the bone. Stayed up reading this into the wee hours a few nights in a row, couldn't put it down. If you're at all into serial killer/crime novels I suggest this book.491 pages

Book 6/50 Practical Demonkeeping
by Christopher Moore. I have read Moore's other books You Suck, Bloodsucking Fiends, and Bite Me so I decided to read a few more, including this one. It was a very interesting read. A crazy story just like his other books. Though I prefer his other books. Still a good read if you're a Moore fan.243 pages

Book 7/50 Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
by Ransom Riggs. I don't know why this book has so many bad reviews on here, I thought it was a really good book! As you're reading the author incorporates real old time photos and makes them a part of the story. I liked the storyline and the characters. Next book in the series comes out in January.352 pages

Book 8/50 Unhallowed Ground
by Gillian White. I had nothing to read because the library was closed so I asked my brother for a book and this is what he handed me. Took me a little while to read because the first 100 pages were all back story and it kinda dragged on. After that it got crazy and I had to keep reading. Glad I stuck with it, the ending was worth the wait. Really freaky, I'll probably check out what else Gillian White has written.286 pages

Book 9/50 The Collini Case
by Ferdinand Von Schirach. I received this book as a first reads winner, so happy I did, otherwise I probably never would have read it. It's a great court room drama novel, short and to the point with a surprise ending. Great for anyone who likes court room drama books.187 pages

Book 10/50 A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore. I don't know why this book took me so long to read, I enjoyed it, but just couldn't seem to get into the story for more than 20 pages at a time. Had the crazy story that I'm used to from Moore. 384 pages

Book 12/50 The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore. One of my favorite Moore books so far behind his vampire ones. As always it was funny, weird, and a good read. Now that I've read every Moore book on my list of to-reads I'm on to Ellen Hopkins next.306 pages

Book 13/50 Triangles by Ellen Hopkins. I've been reading her books since I was a teenager so of course I'm going to read any new ones she releases. This book was more adult themed than her previous books. I love her unique poetic way of writing. Great book for any Hopkins fans.529 pages

Book 14/50 Nowhere Safe by Nancy Bush. I received this book as a first-reads winner. This was a really good suspense/crime novel. Written by Nancy Bush who is the sister of well known author Lisa Jackson. If you like Jackson, you'll definitely like Bush. After reading this I've added the rest of Bush's books to my to-read list.379 pages

Book 15/50 Tilt by Ellen Hopkins. This book goes along with Triangles. Triangles was told by the 3 moms in the book while Tilt is told from the point of view of 3 of the teenagers. Kinda cool to see it from both sides. Good book and amazing writing by Ellen Hopkins, as always.602 pages

Well I failed my goal, but 39/50 isn't too bad. I also think 13,504 pages read is pretty good for a year. In the next year I'm going to keep counting and try to reach 100 books. Wish me luck!
Book 40/50 Paint the Wind by Cathy Cash Spellman.This was a re-read because I read the book about 9 years ago and I remembered it being really good. The quote on the cover does it justice: "An epic along the lines of Gone With the Wind." I would recommend this book to anyone who liked Gone With the Wind.
