Robin Hooker (xanthgrrrl) | 3 comments Weaveworld is one of several books and series I read several times a year. I just love the thought of a whole world woven into a fantastic tapestry.

Jim Peterson | 1 comments Hello,

My name is Jim and I only discovered Clive Barker this year. I started with Hellbound Heart and it just blew me away. Despite all it's gruesomeness, I was blown away by how beautifully he writes. Since then I've read The Thief of Always and Weaveworld, and both were excellent.
I'd love some friends who are fans of Clive Barker, so if you read this please send me a friend request!

Best wishes,
Jim

Jules | 1 comments I first encountered Clive Barker in the form of his film Hellraiser, when I was just 10 years old!!! He terrified me more than I thought possible, but I was soon drawn to his books, & have read quite a few of his books over the years.

Although I don't read a large amount of horror these days, I still think of him as my favourite author, because of the impact his books had on me years ago :-)

Dustin | 2 comments Hello, hello! I am such a huge fan of Barker. I think he is underrated as a horror author because of his more recent focus on fantasy. I have yet to read any of his pure fantasy novels, but plan to soon. (Any suggestions?)

I feel like he can certainly be sort of hit or miss. Mister B. Gone was not my favorite, but The Great and Secret Show rates as one of my all time favorites (as well as one of the best titles ever!). If he doesn't finish the series I will be very depressed! haha
