Welcome to the The Winter Challenge!

As we only have 2 months of winter left, I decided to give us a small winter themed challenge. After this one we can go back to 3 month challenges.

This mini challenge will run from the 1st of July 2013 until the 31st August 2013.

So here we go:

1. Read a book that has a "wintry" cover. So snow etc. on the cover.

2. Read a book that has a predominately white cover.

3. Read a book that has a winter word in the title. Example snow, cold etc.

4. Read a book that has been/is being released in either July or August.

5. Read a book by an author either born in July or August.

6. Read a book that has something on the cover that you need in winter. Example: coffee, boots etc.

7. Read a book that starts with a W, or where the authors name or surname starts with a W.

8. Make your own connection to Winter.

Lauren Smith Nice challenge Lu!

Can we change no.2 to white or grey though? Because South Africa doesn't normally have white winters...

Never mind grey, Joburg has had bright clear blue days so far for most of the winter...

Cool! Thanks, although I was bleak to notice that no authors were born on my birthday.

In that case I should be able to use December, January and or February too since that is my winter. :)

Right now it is very warm over here and it is far from winter.

What did they think of Amsterdam?
We have had very funny weather this year. A couple of weeks ago it was freezing at night and just a week or 2 later we had one of the hottest days on record. And we kind of skipped spring. We went from winter straight into summer.

Lauren (Sugar & Snark) | 1262 comments Mod
Well they have just spent a month travelling all over Europe, they went to literally almost every country. And they said Amsterdam was one of there absolute favorite places. They also said they loved the food! Which is a huge complement coming from them because they eat out A LOT and they are very picky. But most of all they said it was beautiful :)

Barbara | 4434 comments Mod
Wow! They must be exhausted. It wouldn't have left them with much time in each city.
Amsterdam is a very funny city. It is The Netherlands but like on steroids. All our ideals and freedoms are very clearly present there and right in your face. It is definitely a city for tourists. I am glad they liked it. I hope you will come and see it for yourself someday and I will give you a tour when you do!
