Composition and Rhetoric discussion

Hi Folks,

I'm currently playing catch-up, working my way through Everyday Genres: Writing Assignments Across the Disciplines. I'll be away from my computer from mid-July until August 1st, so I'm going to put Nancy Welch's fantastic book Living Room on hold so that I can give it the attention it deserves.

Let's pick back up again with Vershawn Ashanti Young's book in August. This will give everyone enough time to gather the book (I've been ordering everything on interlibrary loan to save $) and be ready to hit the ground running. Years ago I used a chapter from Young's book in a basic writing class with a lot of success, but I never read the whole book. I look forward to it.

I hope everyone is enjoying themselves this summer. Let me know if you have any reading group suggestions.
