You know which book I am talking about... that book that you have to read over and over and over again. What is it for your family. :)

William Pipes (goodreadscomwilliam_pipes) | 17 comments One Hundred and One Famous Poems. My father read these poems to us so often I memorized many of them. This taught me to love poetry and literature. Might be why I am a writer today.

Isn't that funny how sometimes the things we dread as a child end up meaning so much!

OMG! My son loves that one... and has 3 different versions of it. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can read it one more time. ha!

Maria (mariagibbs) | 3 comments My dad used to try to read 'The Wind in the Willows' to me every night for months. He was an excellent story teller as he always added loads of funy voices. Unfortunatly we never seemed to get past the 'shove that under your feet' scene as his rendition of what the picnic basket contained used to have me in fits of giggles and I wanted to hear him read it out every night. I think I still have my copy of the book on my bookshelves all these years later and have read it to my own daughters when they were little.
