How are you liking the book so far?

Hey Bandit--you should have mentioned it BEFORE reading; we could have made it a threesome! LOL!

Yes, I do.
Two recs from you and a group read with Charlene's Shelfari group.

Well Jon--I put it off for a while, but I couldn't help finishing it this morning. How far are you, so I know how much to discuss?
I have to add, that it was a nice, CREEPY quiet horror....I liked this one--it makes you think sometimes, which always adds to the staying power of a story.

LOL--That was my first choice, too!!

All the stories were very good.
Each story captured the fragile family/individual dynamic and highlighted the approach the haunting used.
Much creepier and more personal that way, IMO.

Having the stories separated as such certainly served to focus attention on each individual "haunting". I have to say, the ending was a selling point for me. The paper printed at the end, showing exactly what the people renovating were looking to recreate in the first place....

And the way she did that--without any buildup or foreshadowing beforehand. Just--BAM!--end of story---think about that for a while!
Any ideas for another good read, Jon?

I know!
I love it when an author can pull that off!
I'll put on my thinking cap. What do you prefer? Something quiet again?

Actually, I really did enjoy the "quiet horror", since so much lately (at least what I've been reading) seems very overt. This was a refreshing change, and very thought provoking. :)

Okay.
Let me see what I can come up with.
If you think of something you might like to try, let me know. :)
