What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I am posting on behalf of a friend in my writer's circle. She read this book within the last year, it was a book of about 5 short stories all revolving around a female detective with the first name of Pheony, set in the 1920's in Australia. She can't remember when it was published or whether the author was male or female.
If anyone has any ideas we would be very grateful.

Valerie, your friend is recalling Kerry Greenwood's Phryne (pronounced Fry-nee) Fisher. The collection of short stories is possibly A Question of Death: An Illustrated Phryne Fisher Treasury, which is one I have read.
