Emily | 30 comments I was so inspired by last months pick that I decided to expand my classic SF reading list. I've been reading Heinlein since she mentioned him a lot. I've got Ursula K LeGuin as my next Author.

So far I loved the moon is a harsh mistress and space troopers was very good - i can see where John Scalzi got his inspiration for Old Mans War.

Anyone else been broadening their horizons?

Jonathon Dez-La-Lour (jd2607) | 173 comments I've been adding them to my "To read" list too. I picked up a copy of the Earthsea Quartet during one of my little digs through local book shops and I'll get around to it eventually. I've sorta designated July to be my catch-up month first (I've got 10 books on my currently reading list, plus Ringworld and the 2 books from VF)

Emily | 30 comments I know I have a rather large stack to go through myself.

Arrika Arrachne | 43 comments If you dive into her list, Please let me know when you read John Whyndams the chrysalids - it's a wonderful book and I'm always sad that there are few others who have experienced the journey to share it with. It's not on the American radar at all, but was hugely impact full to me growing up on a university campus in vancouver Canada.
I'd love to have someone to talk to about perhaps my favorite book regardless of whether you agree or disagree with me on its merits. It gets lonely out here.

Robyn (i_am_robyn) | 188 comments I already added a few to my toread list, having also already read 18 of them before. And, from what I've heard, 18 is a very respectable number. Didn't Tom mention he only read 15?

But the list itself is priceless.

Chris Michel (smedwood) | 20 comments I added the whole list. It will take me years as I have only read about 15 of them. I started with Le Guins Dispossessed and really enjoyed it. Already have another Le Guin I found at a library sale waiting for me on the shelf. I am looking forward to getting into Heinlein and any other treasure I find on the list. Not sure if I will do The Communist Manifesto, but who knows.
