Hey guys I was wondering has it been revealed whether or not kvothe made it to be an arcanist? I'm on vacation right now and I dont have my copy of the book so I can't look it up..

Unrevealed. Speculation tends toward a second, permanent, expulsion prior to graduation.

That's what I was thinking. Okay thanks :)

My personal opinion:

No Guilder, No Arcanist.

Doesn't really matter if he graduated or not without the Guilder since it's the only way to recognize he actually is one.

Karen | 53 comments Isn't one of his nicknames Kvothe the Arcane? Maybe it's a clue...

Yes that is one of his nicknames.

But I'm still sticking with Arliden. No Guilder, No Go. LOL.

Yeah. Can you be expelled when you've already graduated? Getting the Guilder is the final step isn't it?

I'm fairly certain that getting the Guilder is the final step.

But I'm not sure if they can take it away afterward. I guess they probably could if they wanted too, but I think that would officially be saying that he isn't an acceptable arcanist anymore.

Brandon | 74 comments I always assumed he didn't get it since he gets expelled. He hears the nickname the arcane in WMF so it was out there already. I don't think you can get expelled after you graduate as mentioned above.

Billy | 51 comments I think the real question is... Can you graduate, if you've already been expelled (albeit postponed)?
