Sherlock waved down a taxi and looked at John.
He gave him a small smile.
"Try not to be...well, you, at least not too much."
"Try not to be...well, you, at least not too much."
Sherlock rolled his eyes slightly and climbed into the taxi.
John followed him in.
"I mean it Sherlock. This could be the first case we've had in a few months."
"I mean it Sherlock. This could be the first case we've had in a few months."
Sherlock requested the place where Mycroft was, then sighed,"I will try my best." He said and crossed his arms.
John nodded and looked out the window.
"Thank you."
"Thank you."
Sherlock looked out his window silently.
The taxi stopped and John got out.
Sherlock climbed out after him and closed the door, paying the driver.
John looked back to make sure that he was still there.
"Ready?"
"Ready?"
Sherlock nodded and popped his collar up slightly.
John walked in first and said aloud that Mycroft wanted to see them.
Mycroft was sitting at a long wood table with a cup of tea and a saucer. His hands were folded neatly under his chin and he gave a small smile to the two men who had just walked in.
"Welcome, please, sit," he said, gesturing to the chairs.
"Welcome, please, sit," he said, gesturing to the chairs.
Sherlock blinked and took a seat silently.
John did the same.
"How are you two?"
"How are you two?"
Sherlock rubbed his black eye and sighed,"bored." He said bluntly.
John shook his head.
"We've..been better."
"Ah, well, to help with my brother, I may have a case for you."
"We've..been better."
"Ah, well, to help with my brother, I may have a case for you."
Sherlock put his arms down on the table,"please don't tell me it is another list pet." He muttered.
"No. It's about blackmail brother."
Sherlock shifted in slight interest.
"You're employer is a stock broker from New York city who has recently bought a home here," he began.
"Who would want to buy a summer home here," John muttered to himself.
Mycroft continued.
"Apparently, a young man has some graphic photographs of this man cheating on his wife. He wants you to get the pictures."
"Who would want to buy a summer home here," John muttered to himself.
Mycroft continued.
"Apparently, a young man has some graphic photographs of this man cheating on his wife. He wants you to get the pictures."
Sherlock smirked to himself,"I get to be a ninja." He muttered and smiled. "I'll take it." He said and stood.
John sighed in relief, glad that he took the case. Otherwise, it would have been hell.
Mycroft smiled.
"Good."
Mycroft smiled.
"Good."
Sherlock nodded and put his head down on the table.
John took the file.
"Thank you," he said.
"Thank you," he said.
Sherlock was sound asleep on the table again, his face peaceful.
Sherlock didn't respond, nuzzling the table.
John shook him a few times and Mycroft shook his head.
Sherlock didn't respond to the shaking, he only let out a small snore.
Sherlock twitched and shifted slightly.
Mycroft shook his head and walked out.
Sherlock groaned slightly and started to wake up slowly.
"Sherlock!" John shouted in his ear.
Sherlock flinched and sat up quickly, holding his head carefully.
Sherlock nodded and stood slowly, pulling his coat tighter around him.
Sherlock followed closely and hid his face with his collar.
John called a taxi and waited.
"You know, that was very rude."
"You know, that was very rude."
Sherlock sniffled slightly,"sorry, I couldn't help it." He whispered, his voice a bit rough.
Sherlock looked at John for a split second, then went to wave down a taxi,"of course not." He whispered.
"You look it," he said, getting in.
Sherlock climbed in after him and asked for Baker's street. He then looked at John,"have I ever been sick since you have moved in with me?" He asked and cleared his throat.
"No, but everyone gets sick at least once," John said.
"Well I don't." He said and shifted slightly. He never really ate and he didn't take any health precautions while on a case, but he really never seemed to get sick.
