What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

This isn't a book but rather a short story. A family takes up ownership of a house set amongst wheat fields. He reaps the wheat and he comes to realise that it is peoples lives. One day he realises that what he is about to reap is his family and goes back to the house to find his family in suspended animation. He flips and goes crazy reaping random wide swathes of wheat.

Oh, that sounds familiar -- did Stephen King mention this story in Danse Macabre by any chance?

Found it! It's "The Scythe," by Ray Bradbury.

Cool, I'll have to find a copy. I read it years ago in 3rd or 4th year English (10th or 11th grade for those of you in the US). It has stuck with me for the last 20 years.
