T.J. | 111 comments They are, they use what's called glamour to make themselves invisible.

T.J. | 111 comments As for the second part (I think I have this correct) if a person is being attacked by a monster and they're mundane then I think it would just appear to them to be like, a dog or some animal that their mind can process.

No, they shouldn't see what it truly is because I think it is used to keep the mortal world separated from the shadowhunter world. Unless there's a human that has the Sight where they can see those types of things. I think it's a rune for glamour. If a mortal used runes on their bodies too many times they would be come like the Forsaken. It also kills downworlders.

They have the option of either glamouring themselves to be invisible or to change there appearance such as the warlock i think who worked at the hospital and i think she was green or something but to the ordinary person she herself looked normal.

Yeah, she was green. Another had a skeletal hand.

Christie (CJ838) | 50 comments Why are Warlocks better than Shadowhunters? Sorry if its a dumb Q I should know...

message 10: by Christie (new)

Christie (CJ838) | 50 comments Also... If Jace and Clary aren't brother and sister why is everyone else playing in on the lie?

message 11: by Allison (new)

Allison Janezic (allilj) | 120 comments The main differences between Shadowhunters and Warlocks are that Warlocks are immortal and can do magic. Neither of which are true with Shadowhunters. I don't think one or the other are better just different.

They don't know it's a lie. Only the inquisitor figured it out on the boat in COA but she died before she could tell Jace the truth. The only lie appears in the movie not the books.

Valentine knows it a lie seeing as he made it up but no one else does

message 13: by Christie (new)

Christie (CJ838) | 50 comments I've forgotten what happened at Renwick's? They keep referring to it as something momentous for Jace and Clary?

I believe that's where they got err.....busy:-)

message 16: by Christie (new)

Christie (CJ838) | 50 comments Busy how? Which book? There has been a lot of make out sessions

message 17: by Flavia (new)

Flavia | 50 comments There was no make out sesion in Renwick's, but it was a special moment though, because Valentine said that Clary loved Jace and he heard it. Also I belive Clary and Jace exchanged a very special hug :)

Christie (CJ838) | 50 comments Thank you. That was the first book? At the end?

message 19: by Renee (new)

Renee yes

wait, I'm pretty sure this is correct, but Forsaken are downworlders who have used too many runes right? And they become some kind of monstrosity thing? I'm a tad confused about them....

Forsaken are humans been given runes who have no shadowhunter blood in them. They either die or turn forsaken

message 21: by Areti (new)

Areti | 114 comments In these forums i learn how the real names of creatures in shadowhunters world are! I read the books in greek so i didn't know that a man who has runes without being a shadowhunter is a foresaken! I knew the greek word for it! :p

That to be honest is pretty cool :)

message 23: by Areti (new)

Areti | 114 comments Yeah it's really cool! It was funny because when i watched the city of bones trailer for the first time i heard jace say to clary that she is not a mandane and i was like what is that?

Yes in the ID, the Lightwood Brothers are threatened with the removalof 'that which makes them Shadowhunters' which would make them Foresaken because they would still have runes. Or they could have their runes removed and become mundane.

Didn't know it had been translated into Greek.
