I read that one earlier this year and really enjoyed it.
Barely got started on The Sound and the Fury, then took a trip to the library where I found Dom Casmurro so I started that one too.
Started In the First Circle by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. Our bookshelf contains The First Circle. The difference being that the latter is the original censored version and the former is the uncut version with 200 extra pages.

The best translation is the 4 volume translation by Anthony C. Yu -- The Journey to the West, Revised Edition, Volume 1. I just finished on August 13 and really enjoyed it. It is an excellent translation. Introduction is around 100 pages but provides a lot of background information for the story and the footnotes are excellent (though after a while I really didn't need them).

Thank you!
After a long absence from list books I finally started one again, The Colour by Rose Tremain.
In spring I read a few long titles from the list which were very slowgoing and left me really frustrated. I needed some distance and hope that this book is a good re-start for me.

The Discovery of Heaven by Harry Mulisch- I'm actually over half-way through it- and The Arabian Nights- listening to an 11 hour audiobook- I know this is an abridged version- don't really know how many pages that equals - about 300?

What did you think? I'm just about to start."
An old one, Gösta Berling's Saga by Selma Lagerlöf. Will take it slow for a couple weeks before buddy-read.
