Winter (winter9) | 204 comments Started Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell yesterday. It's a reread, but I read it before I began reading the list so I haven't ticked it off yet.

Just barely started Mr. Vertigo by Paul Auster. The link to an English edition is here https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

One of the very few books I've read twice in my life, the 2nd time being two years ago. Maybe I'll read it again in another 30 years.

Life Is a Caravanserai by Emine Sevgi Özdamar (of Turkey, then Germany). Not too easy to find, I got it on an interlibrary loan.

Are you reading it for a group read? I saw Alice just started it also. I read another of his books.

George, not a group read. A while back I found a list of shorter books (200 pages or so) from the overall list and every once in a while, I'll pick one for a quick read. I like to do this after I've read a long book (think Les Mis which I finished earlier this year).

There is a method of my madness :o)

Just a coincidence. I am often surprised when I start reading a book and see that several people are reading it as well. Yet there are over 1300 books here.

Linda_G (yhgail) | 20 comments I seldom post but I read the comments every day. I am not an avid Boxall's reader but I do read from the list and checking what others are reading on the list gives me ideas of books I might want to put on my Boxalls "to read" list.

Beginning the series "The Culture" by Iain M. Banks with the 1st book in the series (not on the Boxall list) -- Consider Phlebas. The 2nd book in the series, The Player of Games is on the Boxall list which I will start in a few weeks. Just a reading quirk of mine -- I just cannot start in the middle of a series!!
