Glad I saw your post about Quicksand. I’d never heard of author Nella Larsen, and after checking her out, I picked up both Quicksand and also Passing, her other book on the list. I’m looking forward to reading both.

Glad I saw this, and I can’t believe I’ve never read one of his books! The Kindle is currently only $1.99, and I also saw it’s available on my library’s digital platform Libby, where the book can be opened on Kindle and read in that app.

I've also started that one, Bob.

I've also started that one..."
Good luck and happy reading.
I'm starting Cane by Jean Toomer, a novel from the "Harlem Renaissance". It reached 100 years old in 2023. Free on Amazon kindle site.

Jahrestage by Uwe Johnson - I'm reading this while the group reads Middlemarch

Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein

I don't think I read a single list book last year and going to make an effort to get through it this year especially with books I already own but haven't yet read.
Middlemarch by George Eliot, The House of Ulloa by Emilia Pardo Bazán, and Sons and Lovers by D.H. Lawrence.
And still working on The Mysteries of Udolpho
