Yrinsyde | 295 comments I'm going to start The Plague and The Talented Mr Ripley tomorrow. And I've just reserved A Christmas Carol from the public library. I've never read it!

Just started The Pursuit of Love by Nancy Mitford. I also have The Radetzky March by Joseph Roth and Middlemarch by George Eliot under way.

Yrinsyde | 295 comments The Plague by Camus. I wasn't certain about this book before I started, given the description, but the writing sucked me in right away and I am already exclaiming 'oh no!' in my head.

The Joke by Milan Kundera (who died last year, 94 years old). I think the best memorial tribute you can make to an author is to read one of their books.
