Goodreads All Sorts discussion

Lately it seems like I'm starting a lot of books I don't finish. I know there are loads of good books out there that I would love, so I'm trying to be more proactive about finding them. Hence joining this group. :)

I go through phases like that with my reading at times as well. Welcome to the group and feel free to go to my profile page and browse my books for ideas or ask myself or others in the group for recommendations. What kind if book are you in the mood for? What are you tired of reading or burnt out on?
My tastes run the gamut from the everyday to the eclectic! And I usually have a min of 4+ books going at once!

I love all kinds of books. I don't want to sound like a jerk (I genuinely respect everyone who has written a book), but the thing that turns me off more often than not is weak writing. I'm also pretty tired of the whole post-apocalyptic fad. Not that it can't be done well, I'm just full-up on that at the moment.

As far as what I'm in the mood for, I wish I could erase Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell from my memory so I could read it again. :)
